Tom Kren Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Resin kit I got from Modelhaus resin. This is based on a car called the Panoramic Ford owned by Buster Litton. It features a chopped top with extended 51 Olds rear fenders and taillights, 51 Studebaker front fenders, 51 Merc front hood section, 53 Chevy modified grille, 49 Ford smooth front bumper, smooth rear bumper with 53 Ford end extentions I didnt build it the way the real car is I thought I do it my way! Paint is lime green met from Dupli-Color, added wheels from modelhaus with chrome outer rings and fat whites rest is from AMT's 49 Ford kit!
Duntov Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Very nice.....clean build very well done...... Regards Bill (Duntov)
Dr. Cranky Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 You always build an immaculate, classy car, Tom. Amazing.
Sixties Sam Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Excellent custom! Great paint! Really nice work on this car. Sam
Drgon63 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 way Kool.... looks killer... love the color and the wheel combination... beautiful Tom
Greg Pugh Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I have a big soft spot for Kustoms. I dig this one. I always go back and forth on the Studey fenders. It was seems like it just depends on the angle. Very nice model!
carrucha Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Clean custom build. Good job on the paint and engine. Nice wheel/tire combo.
cruz Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I see you are already doing your homework for Wayne, NJ in April! Well, you just passed! All straight A+ stuff!!!! I always enjoy your work my friend.
Kanedge Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 That's smooth, nice one. Do you mean the tyres are from Modelhaus too, I could really use a set of those for one of my upcoming projects.
Jantrix Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Wow. That looks amazing. I love the paint color.
shucky Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Amazing! Are the wheels and tires from Modelhaus? Such a beautiful build. I have that paint, been waiting to try it. It looks wonderful!
yvan.32 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Wow!!!! Awesome 49 Ford !!!! Nice built...love it !!!!
93Z34 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 While I enjoy wild customs, this project really caught my eye. The subtle styling changes on this car really make this project pop. From the side view, it takes on the feel of a speeding bullet without the extreme mods we so much of these days. Absolutely perfect execution of a fantastic subject. From the color to the stance to flawless building techniques, this car is a head turner, no matter which angle you look at it. What an inspirational build!
crazyjim Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) Nice, clean build, Tom. Gorgeous paint. Edited February 21, 2011 by crazyjim
