gasser59 Posted November 3, 2018 Author Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) The metal cladding on the office wall is actually printing plate. Thin aluminum sheets that have been used on a printing press. I pick them up from a local shop and offer them a few bucks for each. I use them for all kinds of things. For example, I built the tool stand/welding cart out of it. Edited November 3, 2018 by gasser59

gasser59 Posted November 3, 2018 Author Posted November 3, 2018 Nope, that ship is still in the harbor.
ATHU Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Wow!!Absolutely phenomenal work with great attention to detail!!
gasser59 Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Thanks fellas. Still want to add some more to this. I've got a few ideas percolating.
tbill Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Wow......., this is one heck of a garage , just beautiful......

martin9428 Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 For some reason, I expected to see Frank Zappa

martin9428 Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Awesome work, by the way. I'm envious of you guys who can do diaramas and scratch build or modify models. I'm lucky to get a decent OOB build, that I wouldn't mind displaying. Maybe my current build will do the job, although there are some issues already.

gasser59 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 I've got a few more ideas for this build. One of which is a Fender Strat. Playtime continues.
rhammer2003 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Brad, where did you get the Reznor Heater and the water cooler? if you made them is there any chance you can make a resin copy of these for sale? Thanks. Rod
gasser59 Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 Hi Rod and thanks for checking out Joe's Garage. Both of those items were scratch built and unfortunately glued in place so they're not able to be removed for casting.
ksnow Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 That garage diorama is simply amazing. I love the attention to detail. All the little odds and ends really make it believable.
gasser59 Posted August 5, 2020 Author Posted August 5, 2020 Thanks for your comments Kyle. Keep checking back because there will be more to come.
Paul Payne Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Dioramas are like hot rods- they are never really finished- there is always something to tweak or tinker with. Yours is inspiring me to get mine out and rebuild it!

gasser59 Posted September 24, 2021 Author Posted September 24, 2021 For some time now, I've wanted to update the engine and stand that are in the dio. Since its right there in the front, it is really visible so I decided to make stand out of brass and use the soft metal block and other engine parts from Curbside Dioramics that I've had for probably 40 years. Here's a few pictures of my progress so far. I need to order some longer bolts from Model Motorcars in FLA before I can finish this.
gasser59 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 With GSL coming up, I really need to get crackin' on this. Currently I'm working on a vintage Fender Stratocaster using photo reference from my brother. I'm just not sure where I'm going to put it since this wasn't planned until recently. I made the body out of two sheets of Evergreen glued together, the neck is made from actual oak and the fret board is made from printing plate. My plan is to have strings on it, time will tell. I also added a picture 'Codi's' Bantam build he completed some time ago. I told him I was going to do this eventually. The fun continues. 2

Wherever you put it you need to have the proper album cover nearby! I read the thread title and have had the whole album running through my head ever since. It wasn't very largeThere was just enough room to cram the drumsIn the corner over by the DodgeIt was a fifty-fourWith a mashed up doorAnd a cheesy little ampWith a sign on the front said "Fender Champ"And a second hand guitarIt was a Stratocaster with a whammy bar
