Wow, Chris. That meticulous work on the rivets is really going to pay off. I would also try my Liquid Glass, as Danno mentions. It's water soluble, so have a wet paper towel or something handy to clean up any excess, but it will dry clear and hard.

Brad.... I will have to send you the links of the couple of sources I am doing reseach on.

Dave... thanks Buddy... I am sure not one would want this task... haha. but with the outcome inwould say time we'll spent.

Art... thank you. you are right that the work will pay off in the end. I am going to try the liquid glass stuff I got from you and sure it will work great.

Haven't been on the forum to much lately because of the Holidays and family but Chris this build is simply amazing with all the little details that you have incorporated  into the build and hopefully you can make it this year to the show our club has at the NHRA museum which I think they will invite us back for Need For Speed III.

Randy... thanks man. I appreciate it.

Bob... thanks. No minions to be found anywhere. Truth be told, I haven't been to the bench in quite some time. Life has been a little crazy and really not finding the motivation to be at the bench, nor do I have the desire.

Seth... Thank for you for the kind words. I would love to make it out to the the show at NHRA Museum this year if they have it again.

Like everyone else Chris, we're hoping to see the juices flowing again soon.  I admitted to Dave that I hit a similar wall this past week and it just wasn't a productive one.  Just pick 1 thing you want to get done on her and go from there is all I can offer.   Anything you need, just send me a PM.   cheers sir!

Bob... thanks. No minions to be found anywhere.

Sending the few minions that I have Chris since I'm working in 1/35th scale at the moment. I can handle this scale by myself.

Well Fellas I think it is time for an update. I have gotten a little work done here and there. So here is what I have been up too....

Well I tore down the engine for the Last time....:

I started weathering the block a little bit because I wanted to have it dirtied up a bit. Please excuse the crappy pics, I am still trying to learn this 35mm DSLR Camera and been playing with some settings but it seems to not be focusing 100% on what I want it focused on:

Here is the opposite side of the block weathered:

Front of the Block:

Here is the oil pan with all of the bolts started in it so that when I glue it to the block I won't have any issued putting the bolts in...lol:

Here is the opposite side of the oil pan, as you can see I got the oil pan gasket in place and then I scored lines in the oil pan to give some extra area for the epoxy to bite into when I glue it:

Here is the Scratch built Oil Pump with scale hardware bolts installed along with RB motion Fittings that I painted with Clear Red and Clear Blue:

Here I have glued the oil pan to the Block, Installed all of the bolts for the oil pain, Glued the oil pump to the block and also glued the lines from the oil pan to the oil pump. The two other fittings were just placed in their spot for the pic:

Here is another shot of the block with the other braided line in place:

Awsome update Chris! I've about had it with photobucket myself but when I try to set up a Fotki account it doesn't let me. I am not sure what thats about but maybe I don't want to go there either lol.

When I saw the oil pump, I said a baaaaaaad word.

Good thing this site doesn't record audio.

You're still performing at your standard, standard, uber standard standards.

Chris, Very nice build coming along. I also installed a few rivets, 1250 to be exact to my 1/16 scale Peterbilt. I used a small dot of crazy glue on the backside of the rivets and  then trimmed them. If the back side is visible go with the future.

It's looking good.

Great to see an update on this project! Fantastic work with the engine, your weathering looks just right, but the detailing is simply outstanding. If there is a model that looks very much like it was 1:1 scale, it has to be this one.
