This stared about a year ago, with a Tamiya '66 Beetle kit. I worked on it on and off (mostly off) for about six months, then let it sit for another six months. Earlier this week, while chopping the '66 body, I did an epic mess up, and long story short, had to find a new body. I robbed one from the Polar Lights Herbie the Love Bug kit, and modified it for the look I was after, and to fit the Tamiya chassis and interior.

I've always hated building those VW's and have always wanted to build a Beetle like this without the fenders. Now I know what it would have looked like. I like it man.

Whoa, check out evil Herbie! What an awesome build mate! You know some just cannot get a Volksrod right, but you've done a brilliant job, this is very inspiring!

Wow... that is just truely insane.... not much of a VW fan, but overall, it looks badass. :) Ill be posting pics of some of my completed projects on here soon.... :D
