bsoder Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Not xactly a new build..but new here pretty much box from a lindy kit, added the vinyl roof and the usual details etc.
DRG Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Wow, that's a great looking Old's. love that engine compartment.
Naydrus Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Im not judging, but are you sure thats a 68? Thought the 68s had more of a rounded butt. I have 2 friends, one owns a 66 Cutlass, the other owns a 69.. and yours looks more like a 67. Overall, it is beautiful though. (Oldsmobile will always hold a specical place in my heart, my parents collect Tornados)

Bastardo Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Great details, chrome-work, the engine bay is just wonderfull, ... A great model you can be proud of
Naydrus Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I know... sad there is no kit for it. Would love to get one and build it for my parents. Ive driven one of the Tornados, and its a absolute blast to drive.... 454 under the hood.... oh yes.... but the model is still beautiful. Ive built kits for both my friends and made both cars look like the real ones.
paul alflen Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) THAT AINT NO SIXTY EIGHT, CUTLASS. ITS EITHER THE AMT 66 OR THE LINBERG 67??? Edited March 25, 2011 by paul alflen
W-409 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 That kit is Lindberg '67 Oldsmobile 442. It's not '66, I've built one and it's completely different. This one is '67. Nice build, paintjob looks good, and I like how you did the BMF... Engine detailing looks very good too, this one is nicely done.
Modlbldr Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Nicely done build of a great car. Thanks for sharing it. Later-

Naydrus Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Olds came up with their own 454s and there are 455s as well.
george 53 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Olds NEVER made a 454. Whoever told you that was off by ONE cubic inch. Olds DID make a 455, but NEVER a 454. And Johan and AMT both made 66, 7, and 8 Toronados.
