I took this model to a contest in San Antonio last month:

I left it in the back seat of my car and forgot about it for about 10 days. I figured it was no big deal...it's February, after all. This is what I found when I took it out.

This really surprised me. I once stored models for a 18 months in a rental storage room. They had no damage. Just weird.

Ooohh Nooooo!! :(

I would be very upset if something like that happened to one of my models!

Temps inside a car can get quite toasty even in the winter time. With all the glass and such that a car has, the interiors just radiate heat..........especially if it's sunny out. Your storage room while a bit toasty too...........doesn't get the direct sunlight.

AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!

That reminds me of old vinyl records with the same fate....

hmmm, that could be the right torture for my AMT Camaro Concept.....

Just dunk it in warm water and it'll look like new

Sorry to see that, but I'm in the "it does look pretty cool" camp too. A new "form" of automotive art?

YEOW!!!Man that really bites. That would really tick me off.Dont care for that kind of car, but your workmanship was superb!!Now all I can say is find a Goofy figure and place him behind the wheel and make a quick diorama of Goofys day out or something.Man am I sorry!!

You could probably get away with it during one of our winters, but not a Texas 'winter.' :D

Lee. looks like you have to do A LOT of body work! jk. no thats a shame man. i hate to see anyones models, finished or not. melted. even if the build was the crappiest build. sorry it happened Lee. i guess just save the good parts and hang the rest on the wall in a shadow frame!

I'm sorry to see your build got ruined. I can't imagine the words that'd come out of my mouth if something like that happened to me.

that bites. reminds me of the melted VHS tapes video stores used to keep on display to keep you mindful of rented property and in-car heat. IMHO; put it in a display case and keep it at the clubhouse. there but for the grace of God go I....

I don't know what to say, except I'm sorry to see that! It would make for a nice public service announcement......... Don't let this happen to you.........

Sorry about the model, it looked great!

 ALRIGHT Y'ALL THIS IS ONLY FUNNY FOR SO LONG!!!!!

Just kidding. I do have a sense of humor.

Jared- There are no good parts left. I want to say the tires are OK, but the whitewall inserts are distorted, so that's a no-go.

Nothing you can do. I'd display it as-is. It is literally a one-off piece of art now. I like it. Just roll with it.

Don't mess with Texas [heat].
