Here's another one recently finished. Aoshima's SL63 AMG. A fun kit that I really enjoyed building. Built out of the box with Tamiya TS-8 Red and cleared. Wheels were painted with Testors metalizer and cleared with Tamiya clear.

Thanks for looking.

Eric, another outstanding build. Just finished looking at your C6R. This Mercedes couldn't be any cleaner. A question, if you don't mind. Do you decant Tamiya sprays and airbrush them when you paint? I can't get that kind of result straight from the can. LOL.Great work!

Actually I paint from the can. I normally heat the can slightly with a blow dryer before I spray but the real finish comes from polishing. I use the three grades of Tamiya polish, coarse, fine and finish, to get a decent shine.

Why are you posting pics of the real car? Where's your build?

That is one fine clean Mercedes you have there. Very very nice.

Looks fantastic! I have that kit; I hope mine turns out a fraction as well as yours did!

Absolutely great job! I too have one of these in the pile and echo Ken's thoughts about having it come out as well.

What did you do to keep the front bumper on? I built the same car and had a slight mis-hap with the bumper. Im going to go back and refinish it later and clear it. Just had to put it together and get it out of my way before something worse happened.

Kaleb, I didn't do anything special to keep the bumper on. I glued it on early in the process with superglue before I ever did any priming or painting. This, in fact almost turned out to be a problem in itself because I had a hard time getting the headlights in place once the bumper was glued on.
