I build Factory Stock . I was out of my comfort zone . This slightly illegal exhaust consists of ('66 Vintage) Thrush Mufflers . The early ones were painted blue and swiped with a stripe of yellow . The woodpecker decals then applied .

I did some new proceedures on this one . The Carpet is black embossing powder . The Shifter is a straight pin with a scratch built lockout . I foiled under all the paint where the emblems are . Not going there again . While scraping the top layers of paint to reveal the emblems were a disaster . The side V/8 Emblems are now ; chrome paint . My first time for traction bars . Overall , a rewarding kit . Thanx ..

Hmmmm...no matter what ..I cannot post

We have pictures!

That looks great! I really like what you did with it. A black Nova, no matter the generation, seems to work well, and on that car, it's absolutely perfect.

It isn't Stock . Just a sleeper . GM did not install headers , illegal exhausts , Hi-po exhaust borderlining illegal in most states . Thrush Mufflers is a mis-nomer . Traction bars were non existant . Much needed in Novas . One leaf spring per side is way too much ! Sorry no engine pics . It has the hi-po 327 . Custom chromed valve covers , Stock Covers are no longer in the kit . An open element Air Cleaner Assembly . Posting picsw with Photobucket is a nightmare currently . Thanx for the comments . Both bad & good ...

Very nice Nova. I do my scripts and emblems with the "foil first, paint next" method all the time; don't "scrape" the paint, use polishing compound. Go easy, take your time, and you should see good results.

Very nice job! One of my all-time favorite cars!

I really, REALLY hope to own one (1:1 version  ) sometime in my life before my battery dies.

My father's friend, Phil, owned a really cool one when I was a kid. I always loved when he came over because of that car. It was a pretty powder blue metallic with blue interior (Factory color, but I forget the name of it). Pretty sure it was a '67...

Even though I was only like 10 years old, I'll never forget when he sold it (I wanted it soooo bad!). The guy came from PA and picked it up at my dad's house near the Jersey Shore. It was Phil's first car in high school and I think he was about 35 when he got rid of it. I remember seeing the tears in his eyes as it left on the trailer and then I started to cry as well. It was a sad day... :(

Nice job on this. Mine is about 1/3 complete,so I was hoping you'd have some engine & chassis pics so I can see how it looks when assembled.
