zelkam
hi, here is my new creations, a station wagon, not to change Lou Callasibetta's '57 "Surfari" Transcontinental Safari station wagon took the Post War Best of Show Award. The mild custom featured many tasteful touches, yet still remained true to the original design. Lou runs The Old Stillwater Garage in Stillwater, New Jersey, and has turned out some spectacular vehicles. here is my version. I started this project in April. I used a resin with "shawn carpenter" frame 55 chevy nomad, chevy 57 engine bay , engine 65 pontiac. modification of the resin, to transform it into "Transcontinental." Scratch Intérior full door panels, body lines, roof rack..... there are 160 pictures on my Fotki to explain the changes, the images speak for themselves. some assembly steps FULL WIP HERE http://public.fotki..../pontiac-57-sw/ If you have any questions, I would be happy to respond. Dr. Cranky
Jean-Jacques, amazing work, buddy. Love it. As always you manage to combine the great details of the interior with an amazing paint job and body work. Another winner. Congrats.

W-409
WOW, amazing build! Really nice job, as always. That red color looks very nice and paintjob is great. Modifications are done nicely. Excellent job. Interior looks super nice and clean. I like it, not big mistakes. BTW, that topic title "Surfari" is almost like surffari, it means surfer in Finnish. Deathskull59 I would also like Revell and AMT is embarking on the construction of these cars. W-409 yes it is indeed troubling thank again Jean-jacques
charlie8575
Nice job on this. The Transcontinental is one of those great forgotten cars. I'd love to see one in plastic, or even a standard '57 Pontiac wagon with the extra parts. Of course, a 2-door '55-57 Safari is on most people's wishlist- mine included.
