Dr. Cranky Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I saw this this morning, and I just had to share it with all of you who are big fans of Shannon Dimaulo's work. Always amazing and always an inspiration. Hope you are sitting down . . .
Dominik Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 what a saltracer! Wow, that say to me: build one - now!
Skydime Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Well, I'll be back. I have to go chase down my jaw and see if it broke when it hit the floor. That thing is just incredible! Edited October 20, 2011 by Skydime
David G. Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 That thing just scares the buh-jeebers outta me! David G.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 Can you imagine a real one on the salt flats? Boy, that would be something!
1320wayne Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Shannon does amazing work, and this one is probably one of her best. Superb detail throughout.
peter31a Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 The thing I love about Shannon's builds are the imagination of so many of them. While she can build a 32 Ford with the best of them it's the flights of fancy that come off looking so plausible that sets her apart. Great work Shannon and thanks for posting these pics Dr. Cranky.
LAone Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 holy jeebus! that thing is wicked. thanks for showing us this. looks like one heck of a ride.
eyner91camaro Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I saw her and her work at Model Car Sunday in Puyallup as well as the Seattle IPMS. She comes in like a tornado and wipes out the competition! I love it! She truly is a very unique artist.
Mister Twister Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Builds like this speak volumes about detail work. Absolutely fantastic!
Chuck Most Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Wow. If you fed Plowboy's coupe after midnight- THIS would be what happened.
AceofBass Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 That's an WWII fighter motor. Holy hell that's awesome!!
Agent G Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Beautiful build! I have had the opportunity to hear an Allison V12 up close and personal. I cannot imagine driving this, but then again I want to. G
Ryan S. Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Thanks for posting this...it's beautiful! I'd be in line to drive it. I bet it would just scream! I think that I love that it could have just been done as a rat rod and been cool, but the thought of it burnin' across the salt sends shivers up the spine. I'm going to have to look for more of her work!
trogdor Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Isn't she the one who did that Red Barron ? I like her work
bsoder Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Now that thing is just plain wicked!!...she did a great piece B)

I'm going to have to look for more of her work! The thought of filling the tank is what sends shivers up my spine! Mostly because it would need topped off every five minutes.
