ksprotein Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Hi guys, here´s a Deuce finished at summer this year. The basic is the Hot Rod kit Revell 1/8. I hope you like it. It was mominated at the Revell Award 2011 at best 20 Models. Cu Karsten
Sixties Sam Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 VERY nice, Karsten! The weathering is just about perfect. The half flat tires are a nice touch - very realistic! Sam
my80malibu Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Excellent build It would be so cool if you could find an old barn and get some pictures of it in the backround
eviltwincustoms Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Now that is cool, if you didn't say it was a model I would have sworn it was real. How did you get it so the tires look almost flat on the Passengers side?
ksprotein Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 A have only this trees! The tires made i with a hairdryer hot and press it on the ground.... This Jaguar has the perfekt tree! Cu Karsten
David G. Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 If I didn't know better, I'd have thought it was a real 1:1 car! David G.
W-409 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 This is really cool project. In 1:1 scale that would be great start for Hot Rod project. The weathering is very nice and I like those flat tires. Great job with the engine too. 1:8 scale Deuces are something really rarely seen.
Foxer Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Beautiful job finishing that .. the body metal/weathering looks real!
comp1839 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 karsten, not only are these 2 great examples of your modelling skills. they are 2 great examples of your photography skills. incredible work!!
Plasticfanatic Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 That's an impresive weathering job and great subject.
Mooneyzs Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Wow this is totally cool!! Awesome job on this.I really love the 2nd picture where the angle is just right and how you see the some what flat tire. Nice work on this.
Terror Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Nice, looks really good,But I think those tires will hold air they look fairly new,put some air in and drive it home...when the suns out.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I keep coming back for more big scale rust. I love this build.
RTK434 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Awesome! It could easily pass for a real car. Great model and photography!
Danno Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Outstanding!!! Just-right aging/weathering ... not over the top, as so often happens. Very, very realistic. Kudos!!!!
rmvw guy Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I've never seen a rusty one in this scale, nice work. I know this one has been on here a while but, I some how missed it. I just started looking at big scale again and love it. This one goes on my list, Thanks.
Ognib Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Great work! Do you have any build shots? Edited April 26, 2013 by Ognib
rmvw guy Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Great work! Do you have any build shots? Sorry, I brought this back to the top from 2011, you may have to PM the guy. This came to us from Germany and I'm with you on the build shots. Maybe he will see this.
