Chuck Most Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Just needs an in-scale Jack Rebney figure.
charlie8575 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Talk about something we don't see in plastic too much. I didn't even know such a kit existed. Charlie Larkin
Jordan White Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Would be awesome if Galaxy would start putting out some camper trailers and maybe a pickup-bed camper to go with the cool trailers they sell already.
disabled modeler Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I had one years ago would love to have another but cant afford that....anyone want to trade me one??? Let me know about it and what your looking for . Mark
diymirage Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Would be awesome if Galaxy would start putting out some camper trailers and maybe a pickup-bed camper to go with the cool trailers they sell already. i think model king makes the racers wedge/camper unit it comes with a pick-up bed camper which has a very nice interior there are a few build ups on here and im personally working (taking the term lightly) i converting the interior into a deora camper (which by the way was also offered though i dont think it had an interior)
Chuck Most Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 i think model king makes the racers wedge/camper unit it comes with a pick-up bed camper which has a very nice interior That isn't a pickup bed camper- it's way too big for that. It can be mounted to a truck chassis in place of a bed or built as a trailer. The only pickup bed camper I'm aware of is the one that used to be in the AMT '65 El Camino, but that was just a shell- no furnishings of any kind for the inside.
disabled modeler Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Hey guys what about the old AMT 70s Chevy camper van(open road)raised top camper van kit? Now Id love to see that one reissued...need parts to the one I have now. It has a nice interior with it too.
Casey Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Here's the link to the Winnebego Class A motorhome eBay auction Shelly mentioned: http://www.ebay.com/...=item35b6db3af4 I wonder if Normatt made any other scale models? Edited November 16, 2011 by Casey
Casey Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Wow, Normatt made snowmobiles, too: And more of the Winnie: Edited November 16, 2011 by Casey
Junkman Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Needs a Good Old Blues Brothers Boys Band in scale...
62rebel Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Dale's Winnie from the Walking Dead! or... "Don't fall in love with it, Clark; it's leaving with us next month!"
Maindrian Pace Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 That's one giant snowmobile the Winnebago is towing... -MJS
Joe Handley Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 That's one giant snowmobile the Winnebago is towing... -MJS You think that's bad, look at the doll in the back of the motor home!
62rebel Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Hess did a Vogue motorhome in the late '70's or early '80's that looks pretty accurate but, like everything they do, in some odd "near scale".... which, btw, would be the perfect base vehicle for the Urban Assault Vehicle from Stripes!
Tony T Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I had one of the Ski Doo T'NT 440 (the black/yellow/white one) what I was a kid...played with it till I killed it!!

The Hess Training Van was a very good rendition of the GMC Motor Home circa 1973-80, in 1/25th scale as well. Art
Junkman Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 You know what just occurred to me? Back then, toys actually were a depiction of real things. Not like today, where everything is in some way - how shall I call it? - infantilized? Gosh, look at those pics and compare it with what you find in a toy shop nowadays. You know what I mean.
62rebel Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 i know exactly what you mean.... everything is wildly exaggerated or caricaturized.... maybe to avoid royalties.....
Ben Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I have one of these, mint in box. It was a promo given out through Winnebago dealers. It scales out to about 1/20 and is designed to be motorized. It's not really a kit, just a plastic promo type vehicle with stickers that buyer adds.
gray07 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 As many campers/motorhome and millions of popups, why dont the model companies bring out others, i had the camper, its more of a cap from the 68/69 chevy that i traded to a resin caster, i was hoping he would bring it out.
Eshaver Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Hey, since the miscreants of New York can "Occupy" a street, how bout we occupy a Law office to have Lawyers amend royalty rights so we can have "Stuff entitlements " ............... yeah i , know been sniffin glue again . Ed Shaver

AMT did a camper van back in the 70s - I'll see if I can find a photo...
Eshaver Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Erik, you're right . I remember A M T doing a "Open Road " conversion as a accessory to a LWB Chevrolet window van about 1978. i remember someone asking me if i would do a scale snack tray in scale as I was too darn busy manufacturing parts for the 1-1 vans .
