curt raitz Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Watching John Teresi build his "Pancho Villa Bagger" inspired me to build another bike. Grabbed one of the 1/12th Revell bikes from my "stache". Assorted resin parts, i.e. big fuel tank, electricals, hand grips and carb's from Norm at Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. Plus tires and wheels from the bike spare parts box. Tweeked the frame, removing some of the "rake" out of the front fork, rebuilt the front forks using aluminum tubing, fabricated the seat and added wires/cables. more photos comin' in follow up post... thanx for lookin'
curt raitz Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 More photos of the bike... again, thanx for lookin'...
Dr. Cranky Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Curt, that's a nice model. You put lots of great details on it, and I like the look. It almost looks like many of the bikes I see in Daytona. A nice bike, and also a daily driver. Thanks for the eye candy, chap.

Thanks for the eye candy, chap. thanx Virgil nobody's gonna mistake it for an OCC or West Coast Chopper creation... I like bikes that are daily drivers and look to be ride-able these Revell bikes are fun to play with c'ya
Dr. Cranky Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 They sure are, buddy. And have a few of those Revell kits in stock never hurts because you never know when you will see something and suddenly inspiration strikes!
Agent G Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Now that's a bike I'd own. Plate too................................ Very nice. G
Art Laski Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 ...and I like that seat. What's that covered with?
Bill Eh? Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Curt, another outstanding build. All business and no bling, which is my idea of great looking bike. You seem to strike a perfect balance in adding the 'just right' amount of detailing. I hope this one ends up being a keeper for you.
hossalimi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Hi Curt, Nice work! I am sure I'll be seeing it in person at the NNL. Hossain
weasel Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 nice, but, me thinks ya took a little to much outta the front forks...looks like it just hit somethin solid....IJS other than that!!! lol
John Teresi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Curt......I would love to take your "High Roller" for a ride.......what a GREAT build.......and you built it fast too!........AWESOME buddy!
bigmikevee Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Hey Curt, Nice, nice bike!! Looks just like it should, this one is made for riding, the tire/wheel combo looks really good too, you did a great job with this one. Me, I love bikes that look like they are made for riding instead of polishing. Great looking bike, thanks for posting. Mike
Dave42 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Nice work. I too like the way you brought that front wheel back, and the exhaust wrap, and the fat front tire, and.....oh, I like it all!
mikemodeler Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Very nice and looks real! Like G, I dig the plate and the overall style of this bike!
curt raitz Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Curt......I would love to take your "High Roller" for a ride.......what a GREAT build.......and you built it fast too!........AWESOME buddy! thanx John you know how it is...ya get on a roll and "bingo" it's done hope to see you in February
bbowser Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Cool! Love this, no bling, no ridiculous rake. Very nice job.
heatride Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Curt that is very nice ! I can see it now me ordering motorcycle kits . Been out of the Hobby for a long time , I just got to get me a couple of bike kits .
Bernard Kron Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Nice build! I like the "real" look it has, a result of the great details and the color choices. Motorcycles seem to bring out the best in great builders - maybe it's got something to do with the larger scale combined with a smaller subject. Anyway ... cooool!
bsoder Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Curt that is REALLY cool man...I just really like how you did this!! B)
bobber84 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 very nice work, I love how did you bands around echapment
