Danno Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I haven't finished my Moebius LoneStar or my Moebius Hudson Hornet ... Heck, I haven't even picked up my Moebius/ModelKing Tim Flock Hornets from my plasticpusher/pimp yet ... The Moebius '55 Chrysler 300 kit is on the horizon ... And now, HERE THEY COME AGAIN!! Following the upcoming release of the '55 Chrysler 300 passenger car kit will be another vintage period-correct stock car model based on the '55 Chrysler 300 ... (Yes, Tim Flock switched to Chrysler in '55.) These Moebius/ModelKing guys are gonna keep the UPS guys busy making runs our local neighborhood plastic pimp! And, they're gonna keep draining my 401K! Boxart by Sean Svendsen.
Chuck Most Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Now... Would somebody PLEASE cast up a Jocko Flocko figure to go with this and the Flock Hornet? (And I'm only partially joking there. )
Dr. Cranky Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I like the graphics. Another kit to salivate over. Mr. Most is great to see you back!

paul alflen Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I HEARD A GOOD RUMOR YESTERDAY! MODEL KING DOING A 57 DESOTO BODY TO GO ON THE 55 CHRYSLER CHASSIS ? ARE THE WHEELBASES THE SAME? IS THE ENGINE THE SAME?
Art Anderson Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I HEARD A GOOD RUMOR YESTERDAY! MODEL KING DOING A 57 DESOTO BODY TO GO ON THE 55 CHRYSLER CHASSIS ? ARE THE WHEELBASES THE SAME? IS THE ENGINE THE SAME? Desoto's top line car used the same New Yorker body as the Chrysler C300. However, I bet we see a '55 Imperial first, from a resin caster, given that the C-300 was fitted with an Imperial front clip! Hmmmmmm! Art
Rob Hall Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 (edited) A '55-56 DeSoto at some time in the future might make sense.... I'm surprised the resin casters didn't do a '57 DeSoto to work w/ the AMT '57 Chrysler 300C..that would have been sweet...correction, looks like The Modelhaus has '57 DeSoto Fireflite curbside kit. Gluhead Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I'll need a bib to catch all the drool when the stock version comes out. Loves me some 50's mopar.
Austin T Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Curse you mobius! Why do you have to realese such cool kits,I only get so much money a month!
Dave Van Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Would somebody PLEASE cast up a Jocko Flocko figure to go with this and the Flock Hornet? Don't think we didn't look into it. While working with Ms. Flock she made sure we put the Jocko decals in the kit. She said at times she thought Jocko was more popular than Tim!!! Some people have suggested it was cruel to have Jocko ride in the car....Ms. Flock said Jocko got MAD when they took him out of the car!! On the 300's....the street verion and NASCAR version due early 2012......first quarter. We sent off the art this week.
Chuck Most Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 There is a resin caster working on a '55 Desoto body for this, and I'd assume any old existing resin body or X-El promo of same could be used with the Moebius kit parts.

Now all we need is Bob Pronger's 1953 Olds 88 to round out the field! David G.
