lowriderphil Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 All of these have been tinkered with but not completed gonna be a lowrider, but detailing the 69 with the 66 chassis just started a few weeks ago not happy with the paint so put it back in the box going for a late 70s look plan to restart this one now that I found a resin cowl induction hood to fit the motor plan to build a replica of my dads car from 79-81
Guest Sickfish Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Well here's a few of mine... To be fair I only started most of them this month ( Dec') bar the SLS & Magnum... To top it off I've added the R8 Spyder & another 09 Challenger to the bench! ( I'm teaching my nephew the fine art of modelling on the latest Challenger, it's his kit ) First up the Magnum.... Doing this as an ACR SRT8 showcar... Big bass stereo/tech gear inside... Custom Foose Nitrous 20s with aluminium lips... Next up the SLS Merc... Customized... 20in Aoshima rims... Here's my Aston DBS.... More....

Chuck Most Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Let's just say I'd blow the server if I posted a photo of EVERY project I managed not to finish this year, and just say that the number is 'significant'.
Greg Pugh Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 If you don't mind, can you tell me please where are the wheels and tires on these two models from? No problem at all. The wheels on the '54 Delivery came from the Revell '67 Chevelle "California Wheels Edition" and the rolling stock on the Vette is off of a Dub City die cast.
Greg Pugh Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Here's a better shot of the Vette's wheels
weasel Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 this Henry J has been an on/off kinda deal...it's yellow now and the hood slot is narrower... this is a resin body from Fred on the 'Edmunds mod' chassis w/ BigDonkey resin rear wheels/tires... i 'touched' this one this year to, didn't do a lot...lol anyway, narrowed the body 6 scale inches, building this as a 'what if HE grew up a couple states north'....hmmmm, oh, a white #3 on the sides/top.... and my most curret unfinished, Flintstone resin, 25/34[?] body...
mopar01lee Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 and some more ... started this before revell came out with there 68 hemi dart .. 80's ramcharger... mopar missile...... motown missile.... shelby charger..
Kmidd65 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) I encountered a paint problem on my Team Ireland Lumina project earlier this year. I kept the hood and the rest of the body went into the Purple Pond. Lost some enthusiasm and it sat idle for several months... Last evening, I taped it up and sprayed some initial coats of Black lacquer. That interest is coming back! We will try to get it done here in the next few weeks. The T-Bird in the back is another newer project. That one will receive a set of Slixx Winn Dixie #60 decals. http://public.fotki.com/KMidd65/ Edited December 31, 2011 by Kmidd65
Ryan S. Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I got a few started this year and these are the ones that sit in mid-build purgatory. It's unlikely, but I'd be happy if I got all these finished next year. The plan is to not start anything else until these are done. It's plenty (for me) to work on...oh yeah, there's Doc's post-apoch build too...we'll see how this all works out. '55 Ford semi-custom. Long way to go. Still have to finish frame mods, wood bed, interior, finish smoothing the body mods and, oh yeah, paint! '60 Starliner. This on is only waiting for body paint as it currently sits. This pic is a little old, but the most recent I have. Last coat of primer crazed so it needs a round in the purple pond...again. Challengum. I've removed and started reworking the front fenders. I'm thinking about taking another direction with this one as far as the body goes, but it would require starting over with 2 new bodies and I'm not sure I want to. Maybe I'll do an alternate in the future. First time I've posted this concept, but this is the direction I'm going for the leftovers from the Challengum build. Using the Hemi from the Revell '32 series and the fuel injection from the Challenger, it's a blend of new and old-school. '41 Chevy Pick up. This hasn't got much farther than motor selection, color selection and a mock up. I'm basing this off one I saw at a car show a few years ago. Lot's to do to make this one work.
roadhawg Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 This one has fought me every step of the way. It refuses to let me finish it, no matter how hard I try. It is cursed, I tell you....I'm about ready to give up.
mrm Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) No problem at all. The wheels on the '54 Delivery came from the Revell '67 Chevelle "California Wheels Edition" and the rolling stock on the Vette is off of a Dub City die cast. Thank you very much. Are the wheels from the '67 Chevelle shod in the tires from the same kit? The rears look to be beefier, or it is just an illusion? Edited January 1, 2012 by mrm
Rdkingjay Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Revell flip-nose 66 Chevelle. Major changes to this thing. Tubbed, narrowed, dropped up front. Its one of "those" models. I can never seem to finish it. I do a few things and back into the box it goes for one reason or another. Missing one of the front wheels is the current reason for the box. I don't know, maybe some day...
Mr. Moparman Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Rd, you need to finish that thing! It's gorgeous.
Modlbldr Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Here's some of mine. Sure wish I could stop starting ones until I finish one. Better yet, I wish I could get off of this computer and work on one.... 67 GTX Street Freak.
