High octane Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 And here I thought issue # 164 would be the dune buggy issue, I guess not.
mikemodeler Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Thanks for the review Danno and now I have a reason for running to the mailbox!
Dr. Cranky Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Should be around the corner, can't wait. Congrats to Chuck for making the cover!
crazyjim Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I'll be watching for the mailman everyday until my copy shows up.
Harry P. Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Congrats to Chuck for making the cover! Chuck made the cover... but he... uh... didn't quite make the inside! What happened: We got the iHobby coverage from Bill Coulter after we had already put 164 into production, but we decided that we really should include the iHobby story... because we wanted to run it as soon as possible. That meant something had to be bumped to make room for the iHobby story. So we decided to move Chuck's Hudson feature to 165 (where it will be seen). I did a revised cover, for 164, taking out Chuck's Hudson and replacing it with a blurb about iHobby coverage. Unfortunately... somehow the revised cover didn't get to our production people in time... so 164 ran with the "old" cover with Chuck's Hornet on it instead of the revised cover with the iHobby blurb. What does this all mean? Chuck's Hudson will be in issue 165... and 164 will probably be a huge collector's item in the future, so get it while you can!
John Teresi Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I got my issue all packed away safe and sound......and I told my kids that this will be a collectors item.......like the "Beatles" butcher album cover..........all i need to do is have Gregg and Harry autograph it.
Joe Handley Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 We got it at work yesterday or this morning, planning on buying that and another Gremlin tonight.
Harry P. You better believe it! Years from now you'll see MCM #164 selling on ebay for BIG bucks... The "lost cover" issue... It's investment-grade, folks!

Harry P. Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Maybe. But I don't think the inside is so bad, either! Thanks! We try! And apologies to Chuck... the Hudson will be in 165. Guaranteed.

Danno Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Does this mean I'm getting paid double time? You get paid for that ...?
John Teresi Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Yes.......I think Gregg should give Harry a great big piece of raisin pie........for the fine job he is doing with MCM.
