IMSANUT Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Having spent the better part of a half a years time working in a Nuke, I'd love to get my hands on one of the Westinghouse kits.....And I really want one of the MG A kits in 1/24th.
Rob Hall Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Those Premier kits are rather abstract..don't think I've ever seen one in person.
Casey Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Meter Cheater...in an AHM branded box? I think we're seen some AMT kits in Airfix branded boxes earlier in this thread, though.
atenzapower Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I found a couple years a go, this rare kit in the Netherlands, and i have build it, never seen one of these kits.
Skydime Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I don't have this but remember seeing it on Ebay awhile back and yes,Toyota did rebadge and sell these overseas. I badly want this kit. I have Toyota Taillights in my 2004 Cavalier.
lordairgtar Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I don't have this but remember seeing it on Ebay awhile back and yes,Toyota did rebadge and sell these overseas. And the Japanese hated them.
gtx6970 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 1st I even seen or heard of this version of the Deora
Zarana-X Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 And the Japanese hated them. I drove a 2005 Cavalier as a rental, I hated it, too.
Rob Hall Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I drove a 2005 Cavalier as a rental, I hated it, too. Yep..I've driven a couple Cavalier rentals years ago..nasty little car....had a Cobalt rental once, marginally better.. I try and void anything smaller than a midsize when I rent on biz trips or vacations.
Craig Irwin Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I drove a 2005 Cavalier as a rental, I hated it, too. I've owned 4 Cavaliers, driven hundreds of thousands of miles in them, and am looking for another to replace the one that was just totaled 2 weeks ago. (it had 190,000 miles on it, trouble free). Not exciting but good, solid, dependable transportation.
72 Charger Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 This a great topic so i thoght i would add to it found these at a yard sale I dont know much about them but ithink that there was about 20 or so in the range
Jantrix Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 1st I even seen or heard of this version of the Deora That makes two of us. Kinda cool.
kruleworld Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 That's a weird version of the Deora. nice pick up gtx6970. Not exciting but good, solid, dependable transportation. it's not enough to exist, i want to LIVE!
clavender17 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 This thread made me dig out one of the oddballs in my stash... anybody else ever seen one? yes infact i have one complete!!! as a 17 year old i got this kit from my dad who got it from his grandfather .
Draggon Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 And there's the AMT Deora, "Alexanders Drag Time". I have never seen it, didnt know about it until a few years ago. There are only obscure pics online. In fact this small thumbnail is all I can find. I'd love to have that kit!
Agent G Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I received the 20 Mule Team kit about 50 years ago. It remains unbuilt, and safely stored away. G
martinfan5 Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I don't have this but remember seeing it on Ebay awhile back and yes,Toyota did rebadge and sell these overseas. I would love to get this one, I owned a 97 Cav, paid $5500 for it, spent $4000 or so keeping it running, but I loved it Me and my friend too the car apart, well more so destroyed it http://s1105.photobucket.com/albums/h341/irvan2836/Cavalier/
geemoney Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 wow! i remember the Aurora engine stuff, actually had the Hero car (made some serious cash on that one) but as for the rest of them.... never!
mr moto Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 The mule team kit is currently available along with a package of actual borax ore to fill it with! http://www.muleteamkits.com/ I saw one of those built several years ago at a contest and it took "Best of Show". There's also an automotive connection to it. The real mule team wagons were built by Studebaker.
Rob Hall Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I wish I had a pic of it but when I was a kid in the early 80's I had a 4 door corvette model molded in dark orange. Sounds like the Monogram Corvette America...wish they would reissue that..would like to have that kit.
Scuderia Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Sounds like the Monogram Corvette America...wish they would reissue that..would like to have that kit. In case anyone's curious lol
