moparfarmer Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 The 200 replaced the Sebring but with loads of upgrades. We sell them at the dealer I work at and customers love them. Not too big or small and lots of poop with the 3.6. We sell a lot of 2.4 4 cyl too. Very reasonably priced for what your get. Made in America...Way to go.
RickRollerLT1 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 The Shadows and Sundances were decent, although the bodies tended to go to pot easily Ah, so thats why the Shadows/Sundances were popluar with 18-35yr olds back a decade ago. Cause they got their "stuff" and drug money by beating the ###### out of them, and making the stuff with the rusted parts. If they still got some, I WANT IT!! LOL!! J/K.
Joe Handley Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Thanks Guys, I'm liking it so far! I kept hearing that they were hard to keep on the lot, especially the V-6 cars like mine!
charlie8575 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 As my great aunt used to say, "use it in good health." With the mileage, your financial health might improve a little. There is a possibility I might end up buying a new car before year's end, too, or at least newer. Charlie Larkin
Joe Handley Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) Just talked to my insurer, they have been notified and the insurance paperwork will be on the way. Thanks Charlie! Edited April 9, 2012 by Joe Handley
Joe Handley Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 Got the temp. insurance card before I left work today so I took the 200 instead of my Jeep. My last fill up with the Jeep was returned a pretty decent 16.3mpg.......if the mileage computer on the 200 is to be believed, I was getting anywhere from 23-23.9 on the drive to work!

I'm just shy of having put 100 miles on the car and still have just short of 3/4 of a tank left out of 16.9 gallons and so far love driving it more and more every time I drive it! Had a friend, like George, thank me for buying American and liked the over all look of the car and really liked how the driver seat felt........think he may want to see me tweek the car a bit too Another friend (and customer from work) also really liked the overall look of the car, including the roofline (yes, even the roofline!) and generally thought it looked Classy too!
Guest fivespot300 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 thats the best build ever ...mpg ..i had a 1991 astro 18 mpg but when i put magnets on the fuel lines the mpg went to 22.5 ...it does not work on all cars
Joe Handley Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) Took a few night pics of the 200 tonight, I've got nearly 600 miles on it so far and have only had it two and a half weeks I still have some work to do when it comes to shooting night pics with my Cannon Powershot SX120 IS, the pictures that are the clearer ones were taken with my Galaxy S2 smartphone Edited April 25, 2012 by Joe Handley
crazyjim Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 It looks so clean and SHINY :) , Joe. What you going to do when winter hits Illinois and the roads get covered with salt?

Peter Lombardo Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) Nice choice....it is a huge improvement over it's predecessor. You could have gotten a lesser car for more money, well done. Edited April 25, 2012 by Peter Lombardo
Joe Handley Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Nice choice....it is a huge improvement over it's predecessor. You could have gotten a lesser car for more money, well done. I keep reading that Peter, especially from those who've actually owned these and have driven both as well as independant reviewers who don't seem to necessarily rely on other automaker sponsorship.....errrrr.....advertising. Even then, those reviewers seem to be impressed with the improvement in the 200 vs. the Sebring, one even found the mileage wasn't far off the Korean turbo twins that run the smaller, lower hp turbo 4's!

Now a days, it sad that you cant trust the people that are doing reviews, you never know if they are being paid to say good things, or for who ever they are doing the review for is sponsored by the car company
Joe Handley Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 GHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went to leave for work today and found scratches on the roof of the 200! Not sure how they got there, I haven't set anything on the roof or have had anything fall on it and I've only leaned on it, bare armed, a few times.
Swifster Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 It's been about 15 years since I've seen a LeBaron GTS or a Dodge Lancer.

My black Caliber is outside and that's what the scratches on my car are from. I caught a couple of them up on the roof one night.
Joe Handley Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 This looks like somebody used the car as a counter, then slid what ever was put on it off. Not sure if it was some sort of bag or cup, but needless to say, I ain't exactly thrilled! Luckily it looks like it doesn't go deeper than the clear coat.
Joe Handley Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Does that have HID headlights? No, just conventional projector beams and LED "eyebrows" over them. Now if something like these were available, I'd serioudly look at those instead! http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1082758

Joe Handley Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 I finally got the chance to take a picture of it, we don't have many cats around here and only way it could be an animal would be if it was a squirrel or bird. That scratch appears to be of the careless human variety to me.
Joe Handley Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 BTW, That funny looking box thing in the pic is the reflection of the lights in the parking lot I was in at the time.
Joe Handley Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Just thought I might do a quick update, the car now has 8300 miles on it and just had it down to Branson, MO for a week when My Sister, Parent's, and myself took a 2 car trip down last Sunday and came home yesterday. Put around 1200 miles on it in that trip alone and drove it through what I'm surprised wasn't a twister in central Illinois! The best calculated mileage was 29.88mpg running 91 octane and best computer estimated was 34mpg on 87, which ended up being 28.28mpg by the time I filled it up..........considering we were punching through 30+ mph cross winds at 60-70mph and drove it around here for quite a bit before I got it to a station to fill it up, I'm not complaining considering that the EPA claims it will only get 29mpg on the highway under their test conditions! I also shot a video of it on HWY 76 running from West Branson to Branson, Believe it or not, I rarely exceeded 5mph over the limit and at times I was passing people while running below the posted limit!
