Danno Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Good golly Miss Molly! That is NICE!! Can't wait til my friendly, neighborhood plastic pusher calls to say my 'fix' has arrived!
gbdolfans Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 To anyone in the know. I was just wondering if the alignment of the front wheels I saw in the test shots have been fixed. They look like they tow out in those shots. I do plan on getting a kit, even though there are a lack of extra funds. Thanks to Art and Dave for taking the time to do it right!!!!!
jjsipes Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I love it. Looks amazing. Bring 'em on. I want aleast a case of them. Honey, can I buy a couple of models? Need to check with wife first. Can't wait. Thank you Moebius. What's next in line, more 50's era Mopars?
Harry P. Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Since Moebius is apparently a model company that listens to us... How about the long awaited but "never-yet-seen-as-a-plastic-full-detail-kit" of the Tucker Torpedo? Hmmmm???
jjsipes Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Yeah a Tucker would be awesome!!!! I got the resin Tucker from Modelhaus but have never done anything with it yet.
Art Anderson Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Darn No Wires !!! 38 Crush If you mean wire wheels, there ARE wire wheels as an option in the kit--and they are gorgeous! Art
george 53 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 THANK YOU, Art! You've just cranked the "gotta have it" to "GOTTA have it!" Moebius sure did hit a grand Slammer with this one, for sure! :D
sjordan2 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) Beautiful. Great work, everyone involved, and I can see some awesome builds coming out of this. To me, it looks even more skillfully done than the Hudson. So, what's the next new thing, Moebius? Want to start a poll? I vote for anything that Pyro did poorly, like a 1948 Lincoln Continental; Auburn Speedster or Revell's Continental Mark II that was only done in 1/32. I know, modelers won't hot rod these, but they're still not represented well in the hobby. Edited December 15, 2011 by sjordan2
Guest Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Gooooooooolllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, shazam! I gotta have this! Beeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuutiiiiful!!
Wagoneer81 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Yep! Gonna have to add a couple of these to the collection as well! Absolutely beautiful! I gotta have one stock (yeah, call me weird) and I see a sweet classic low-rider/custom in the works here too... Once again, Well done Moebius! You are bound and determined to make me owe my LHS more than my annual income!
Art Anderson Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 THANK YOU, Art! You've just cranked the "gotta have it" to "GOTTA have it!" Moebius sure did hit a grand Slammer with this one, for sure! :D No, I am one of those "on the perimeter" in these two Moebius car kits--Dave Metzner is the man on the point--he's the one who's doing the hard work, digging up all the stuff, fighting with the tool shop and so on. Please give Dave your kudo's, he's more tnan earned them (oh, and buy a lot of the kit--he'll appreciate that too!) Art
BKcustoms Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 That looks AMAZING! I cant wait to get my hands on one! Oh, and I vote for a 56 packard clipper to be next
38 Crush Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Can't wait to get several. Art, Do you think it will be ready by Xmas ???? 38 Crush........However, in this case it could be '55 Crush
Funkster Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 That is going to be a great model to have, stock, stock car and custom!
W-409 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I'm not sure about this yet. I mean, I don't know, am I buying one or two of these. One needs to be built factory stock, as the Hudson and other would be really cool NASCAR racer, because these were quite popular on those days.
Craig Irwin Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Lucky you! The decal sheet looks interesting.........
Dave Van Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 As soon as my Flock Hudson kit is finished......I'll be waiting on the 300!!!
Eshaver Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I second all of Skip Jordans suggestions on re tools of former Revell 1-32 and Pyro kits , ie , 48 Lincon , 33 Auburn , 32 Cord and Revell's 56 MK-2 Lincon . With what I see in the Hudon, I was thrilled to say the least ! The Chrysler looks to be just as stunning too. Oh , I too would like a Tucker too............. Ed Shaver
jjsipes Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) Yeah a nice kit of the Auburn Speedster would be awesome as well. Or even a late 30's Lincoln Zephyr Edited December 19, 2011 by jjsipes
Rob Hall Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Yeah a nice kit of the Auburn Speedster would be awesome as well. Or even a late 30's Lincoln Zephyr Yes! I'd love to see those two, especially the Auburn...always thought it was odd Monogram didn't do one, considering the Cord and Duesies they did in their Classics line back in the day...
