Pat Minarick Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 (edited) Hello, this is my second post on Model Cars forum. Lot of nice stuff on here. Well this is what I'm working on right now, trying to keep some of the Monkeemobile look. Hope you like it. It's going to be a delivery. I shorten up the rear ,then the front. I added an extra set of rear wheel opening up front and getting rid of the headlights ,also making a forward opening hood. Edited July 2, 2013 by Road Runner 79
turn1wonder Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Interesting. Can you show us how you hinged the hood/nose? Bob
TooOld Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Just puting the station wagon roof on it makes a huge difference ! I like where you are headed with this .

Pat Minarick Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 I like the aged logo. It all fell off ,it was real old and dry!

Pat Minarick Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Anyone know were to get some 1/16' thick transparent red plastic at?Need it to make three long tailhts
cobraman Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Plastic covered with BMF and then coated with clear red looks pretty good as a taillight.
Pat Minarick Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 How about clear Styrene painted candy red? I like to stack clear red plastic between flat sheets then glue that into an opening in the body ,then grind it to fit. You can polish the red plastic and push it out from the back .paint the body then slide them back in.
Pat Minarick Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) Found some transparent red protractors to make my taillights! Just got them roughed in. This is what i did. Found this the other day! Edited May 15, 2013 by Road Runner 79
TooOld Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Wow ! The taillights look great !!! Very creative using what you could find .
hvymtl Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Man what a difference some creative work can do . i never liked this car but i really can't wait to see where this one goes .Awesome taillights and a roof so long it should be a surf board for the whole band. Also digging the Halibrands... Great work so far Michael
mopar68 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Wow! Love what you're doing with this! Do I sense a theme around here? Something to do with Monkeemobiles and awesome mods...
