Gluebomber Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 First time post to this group, but I've been following it for a long time. I'm blown away by the quality of the work from the modelers here. Here are some pics of my Myers Manx. Built pretty much box stock, but I added some engine wiring, seat belts and instruments. Paint is Testors One-Step Lime Ice with One-Step Clear. The paint is great, but the metal flakes would be a bit big for my taste for anything but a dune buggy or a bass boat. Comments, good and bad, are welcome. Thanks for looking.
jeffs396 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Welcome Larry!!! Great job on the Manx, looks awesome!
rmvw guy Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Welcome Larry! And thanks for posting, I like your model very much! I just started my Meyers "Manx" yesterday as a matter of fact, I already misplaced the directions! Your photos will help, I couldn't quite figure out the back seat and now I see! I plan to build it much like yours. I was thinking street legal. The green on your's looks great and I love the engine detail. I am kind of a VW nut any way. Nice work on yours!
Webb Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Nice job Larry. That color is perfect for a Dune Buggy. Chris
TooOld Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Looks really nice ! The green is the perfect color for a Manx . Glad to see more of these showing up , they kind of disappeared for a while ! There was a really good thread in the "Kit Review" section a few months ago .
