Matt Bacon Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 They both look very tasty to me. The GTO is a must-buy to complete the "trilogy", and I think I'll do the Aperta in a virulent metallic green like the HY-KERS concept... bestest, M.
martinfan5 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Yep cant wait to get these, like I need more Ferrari kits to buy Edited July 12, 2012 by martinfan5
jaymcminn Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Can't wait for the GTO. Less enthused about the Aperta, however...
Scuderia Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Yep cant wait to get these, like I need more Ferrari kits to buy What Jon said lol.
martinfan5 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) Got both, 2 each, on Pre-order! I seem to be obsessed with Ferrari's lately.... :-| ;-) Cheers Dan Me too on the obsessed part Edited July 13, 2012 by martinfan5
Rob Hall Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I have a bunch of unbuilt RoG, Tamiya and Fujimi Ferraris...want to build them eventually, and avoid red as much as possible.. I like the offbeat colors.

I like the offbeat colors. I am with you on the red, but I still stick with red, I have a California and the 599 to build and I am going to try my hardest not to use red.
jbwelda Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 i really wish someone would concentrate more on mid 60s ferraris with full detail especially under the hood. now that would be something worth celebrating. so many great designs...
martinfan5 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Those are some of the beautiful cars ever made, I agree, I would love to see those as full detail, meaning nicely done full detail
Roncla Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) There are a lot of the classic Ferraris that are long over due to be done in plastic. The 250 Lusso being one of my favorites. I know Model Factory Hiro make a selection but their prices are getting way out of reach due to the strength of the japan yen. In the mean time I've put Revells' GTO on my must have list. sjordan2 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) I'm sure many (or maybe most) of you have seen Alex Kustov's website, but for those who haven't, it's a gold mine of information on his Ferrari builds, kit reviews and listings. http://www.italianhorses.net/ Edited July 13, 2012 by sjordan2
Phildaupho Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I am looking foward to the Revell of North America 599 GTO which will be less expensive, white plastic and will come in a more conventional box even though I have already completed a conversion of a 599 to GTO.
martinfan5 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I need to do some research, but whats the difference from the 599 GTB/GTO
Rob Hall Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) I need to do some research, but whats the difference from the 599 GTB/GTO Front and rear fascia, grille, hood, roof paint, wheels, seats, maybe some engine details... Edited July 16, 2012 by Rob Hall
martinfan5 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Front and rear fascia, grille, roof paint, wheels, seats, maybe some engine details... It looks the same on both, I can not really see a difference, meaning the front and rear, I guess I need a side by side to help out
Rob Hall Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 It looks the same on both, I can not really see a difference, meaning the front and rear, I guess I need a side by side to help out hoods are different also, looks like...
martinfan5 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Now I see the difference's, thanks for the pics, I think GTO looks better then GTB
Phildaupho Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 This is my self-done GTO conversion done on a Revell of NA 599. More photos at http://public.fotki....errari-599-gto/
Roncla Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 YES PLEASE! On the Berlinetta Lusso....TIM MFH have a full detail Lusso in development with a TBA release date.
Matt Bacon Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I do wish that Hiro guy would stop releasing all the things I'd like to build at prices I can't remotely afford... I'd like Italeri or Revell Germany to step into the breach... bestest, M.
