MarkWelby Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I had a friend give me this kit only if I agreed to build, so I did. Here is the finished model.
Intmd8r Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I had a friend give me this kit only if I agreed to build, so I did. Here is the finished model. Seems fair to me! Congrats on a job well done.
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 That's one of the best builds of the old AMT kit I've seen. It's not easy to get such nice results with the fiddly way the upper body goes together, and yours looks great. Reminds me again why the '36 Ford is one of my all time top 10 favorite car designs. Killer color too.
Dominik Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Two thumbs way up. ....and moooore pictures please.
MarkWelby Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 Thanks everyone. I normally build NASCAR but every now and then I do a car. The color is a mix of Testors Kiln red and Burgundy Metallic. I have the model in a case so I will shoot some more photos and get them up.
charlie8575 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Very nice, Mark. Be sure to bring to MassCar's show next year. Or why wait? We'll be meeting this Wednesday (July 18,) at 7:00 at 150 Rustcraft Rd., Dedham. All are welcome. Theme for the in-house contest this month is red, white and blue cars. Charlie Larkin
TooOld Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Beautiful ! Maybe your friend has a few more to give you .
Kmidd65 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Mark, you better stick with the Nascars... LOL, seriously, that is very nice! We Nascar builders often get a bad rap but this proves we can venture out of our comfort zone every now and again. I really like this one!
