peter31a Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Excellent build! Great colour combo and great details. Like it a lot.
rmvw guy Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Nice! I like the detail on your engine and chassis. Nice job on the black paint also.
mikemodeler Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 That is very nice! Great color combo, and that black paint is sooooooooooooooooooo deep and shiny!
nboldman Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I love the engine in this kit!!! Nice details and and paint. all around a great model!!
TheCat Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 Very impressive work Felix! Sweet! You forgot the wipers tho! Two questions. Did you double up on the white decals? Also, are those older Revell Goodyear tires? Thank you Lee... Ooopps... you are correct, I did forget to add them... Thank you for the heads-up. I will have to go back and apply the wipers. For your questions - Decals - Those decals are from Keith Marks. Keith Marks decals are nice a thin but the color so nicely thick that you don't have to double up as you would if you used Revell's decals. Keith Marks decals are worth the money. I now usually buy all my models decals (that ones he does have for the kit) from Keith Marks. Very rarely do I use the ones that the kit comes with. Tires - Yup, those tires are from an older Revell 69 Camaro kit that I had around. I also used the Revell 69 Camaro Yenko wheels.
W-409 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Very nice Nova! Those details sure look good, paint and decals are very nice also. You did awesome job with it. Only thing what caught my eye, is that "1969 Nova SS Used Under License"-Text on the chassis.
Tom Setzer Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) Beautifull Nova Street Machine. Great Colour Choices, Great Engine Detailing, and Chassis Detailing! But it isn't a Yenko!!! Donn only built 39 69 Nova Yenko,s and every one of them had BENCH SEAT and were striped down bare bones cars with only one purpose, To Go as fast as they could on a Drag Strip. I own the forth car, and is still the only car I ever owned that SCARED ME!!!! They gained the Nick Name LETHAL, be cause they killed 23 of their drivers, so Donn stopped building them!! Are you sure? Because I've seen a few original Categorized Nova Yenko's with Bucket seats. Per the Yenko Site, they used the SS Nova as the bases for all of their Yenko Novas. The one that all had Bench Seats where the COPO that where Bare Boned Monsters.
dimebolt Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Awesome Nova man. Great attention to detail. Corey

Gluebomber Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Really nice work, Felix. Great model overall, but the engine detail is outstanding.
ScaleModelAddict Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 This is fantastic. The paint is great and the engine simply rocks. I hope to achieve that level of detail someday. Impressive.
