Alyn Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 scratch building a radiator: cool out of aluminum: super cool being able to see the tubes through the core: priceless. You make good stuff, Bill
rochoa21 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 You need to find a way to mass produce these parts. Could you make cad files and then have them cnc made?
Art Laski Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Bill, my friend, there is so much great building going on in the model world these days, and you are leading the way! Fun to watch.

Mooneyzs Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Bill... I couldn't agree more with Art.... This one phenomenal build. I can't believe the detail to the radiator you did. It is just amazing. You keep moving the bar up higher and higher for the rest of us . Nice work buddy!!
gasser59 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Amazing stuff Bill. Now I want you to go out to your workshop and gather up all of your paint cans and jars and throw them out. Don't think about it, just go do it because it'd be a shame to hide all of this wonderful metal work.

vintagedragfan Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 managed to get a little work done so far this week end, got some breathers made up, the ends were turned on the lathe and some very fine wire mesh for the actual breather, you can actually see through them I made up the core support out of square brass tubing, I wanted to be able to assemble it easily when the time came, but yet still be strong so I pinned the frame extensions to the frame and soldered smaller tubing on the core support that slides nice and tight into the extensions, seems to work very well thanks for all of the support from all who have commented, really do appreciate it, thanks for looking

This is the most incredible model I have ever seen. Your attention to detail is breathless. Makes me want to throw all my modeling equipment away. I can only dream of achievements like this.
