martinfan5 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Found this on another forum , man uses tractor and runs over seven police cars, all of the towns police vehicles A framer takes revenge on Newport VT police for arresting him on drugs charges the month before http://www.dailymail...rug-arrest.html Edited August 4, 2012 by martinfan5
cobraman Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Man ! That is one heck of a tractor. The police cars remind me of a Monster truck show I went to.
mopar01lee Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Yeah I read that article today .. he just about did wipe out there fleet. They said he destroyed over half there fleet. Over 250,000 in damage.. lol
martinfan5 Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 I guess he figured that was one way to out run the Motorola radio, just flatten all the towns police cars
Longbox55 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 "Pretty much the biggest tractor you can get"? Boy, you can tell those officers are City Boys! At least they didn't have to deal with Big Bud! http://youtu.be/WWRTpI4JS9Y
jcbigpaw Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Some guys get to have all the fun. Believe me I've thought of something like this at a stop light many times. Lol
Chuck Most Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 "Pretty much the biggest tractor you can get"? Boy, you can tell those officers are City Boys! At least they didn't have to deal with Big Bud! There are actually several of those Big Buds, each one more gigantic than the last. We're talking about 50 feet wide with all eight custom-made tires in place.
Longbox55 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 The one I posted the video link to is largest one they built. I plan to go to the Farm Progress Show in Rantoul sometime to see it in person, along with the IH Turbine Tractor which got recently restored.
Agent G Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Can you imagine that "Dear Chief" memo? Dear Chief, we were all inside screwing off when a demented felon destroyed all the cars. This is just about the strangest thing I have ever heard happening in or around a station house. Believe me when I say I have worked some tough houses in some tough hoods, but this beats it all. G
martinfan5 Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Some info that was posted on the forum I found this at, someone posted that the police station was a bank at one time, so its very sound proof, or that department needs to find a better hearing test to administer Newport VT police dept new hearing test, can you hear a tractor rolling over police cars?, if yes, then pass Edited August 4, 2012 by martinfan5
Joe Handley Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Hmmm, I wonder which of these songs will better describe this guy......... Or
slusher Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 How did he keep from turning over?? the tractor pictured is a 6 wheel tractor not as big as the one in the video. He is in some hot water...

G Wayne, all I can say after having taught in Vermont is that you have to go there to understand! Newport is the "Northeast Kingdom," up on the New Hampshire/Canada border, and it's a very different world in those parts. I taught in the southern part of the state, and all I can say is if you've ever seen Super Troopers a lot of the police in Vermont aren't that far removed from what I saw. That story was all over the news around here today, and I was amazed at how much damage that guy did. Orleans County is a poor area, too. That's really going to do some damage to the budget for the Sheriff's office. Charlie Larkin
charlie8575 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 The news footage from New England Cable News, for those interested. http://www.necn.com/08/03/12/Accused-Vt-car-crusher-appears-in-court/landing_newengland.html?blockID=751051&feedID=4206 Charlie Larkin
Joe Handley Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I wonder what kind of tractor it had to be, kinda.figured it had to be a 4wd Case though.
bbowser Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Charlie is right about "the Kingdom". You can see a moose walking down main st in some of those towns and nobody blinks an eye. I cover the northern part of VT in my work and happened to be in Newport that day. Never heard so many sirens all at once!
Danno Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Well, his true name is Maurice Ronald Pion, but his friends call him "Mo Ron" for short. Hope he enjoyed himself for those ten minutes. How long does it take to pay $250,000 restitution when you're earning 13 cents for each license plate you stamp out? What a gomer. Although, I have to give him credit for originality. Far more interesting than the usual spitting, spray painting, window-breaking, defecating, or acid-throwing most idiots use to "get even" with parked, unattended police cars.
Agent G Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 MoRon indeed. Based on personal experience, better the police cars than your personal car. I walked out one night to find a bullet hole in the camper shell on my brand new '94 F150. Seems someone took offense with the North Patrol Division and shot up our back lot. I've seen Super Troopers, and thought, well now that's a real skewed view of the police. Now you tell me that's not that far from the truth? Where do I sign? G

Where do I sign? G Well, since you asked.... http://www.vermont.gov/portal/employment/ Vermont does tend to be somewhat centralized, so you might be able to find various towns and, after last week, I suspect the Orleans County Sheriff's Department might be looking for some new personnel.. Charlie Larkin
Agent G Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Looks like I'm too old for that group. Guess I'll just stay in Sin City and continue to police the showgurlz. G
niteowl7710 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 ...and, after last week, I suspect the Orleans County Sheriff's Department might be looking for some new personnel.. Charlie Larkin Why would anyone at the Sheriff's Office get fired cause some nutjob pothead drove a tractor monster-truck style into a non-secured parking lot? You wanted them to station someone on the roof with a Barret just in case something like this ever happened? Perhaps they should have went out in the lot and did a Tiananmen Square with the guy?
