38special Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) Here is a van i've been working on since sunday night. The business is my dads and hopefully one day i'll have my own. This van isn't perfect by no means but its a good start to a everyday workvan. He actually drives a 98 dodge van but i thought this would be cool also. I have some scale 3 and 6in. pipe cut into 10ft. lengths to go on top when i get it finished up. Edited September 20, 2012 by Casey

madisonwoodsmith Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Wow, Gunner! A KY vehicle with that much rust!? Looks like it came from Central NY! Good job John
Intmd8r Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 That's awesome! It looks like every contractor's van I see runing around Southern Ontario. Great Job and I can't wait to see more pics.
38special Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Yea the rust may be a bit to much but i figure for i believe a 75 van? It would about right. I've actually seen the rockers gone to where you can see inside the van lol.
Casey Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Don't forget to add the hasp and padlocks on the cargo doors.
38special Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Haha yea i might come up with something for it. This is a nice change from building demo derby cars
george 53 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 My brother in laws work van looks just like that, rust an all, only it says Anthos Home Improvement on it an it's Robin's Egg blue(a REALLY PALE blue!) GREAT job on this!!!
Volvoman Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Can wait to see this finished!! We have plenty of Ford Transits and Mercedes Sprinter vans driving around the roads of the UK which look remarkably similar to this......!!Sorry, that should say CAN'T wait....!!!
38special Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 i still have to rust some more on the chassis
David G. Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 The rust looks great! It all seems to be coming along nicely! David G.
Shardik Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 You better hurry up and finish that thing before it disintegrates! Seriously, that's some nice looking rust.....that would sound so weird anywhere else. (Oh, by the way, you missed a couple of fingers with the blue paint.)
38special Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 LOL yea i actually finished it up this morning for a contest today. i worked on it until 3am last night and woke up at 7 and finished it before i left at 9.
Shardik Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Awesome! Congratulations on the well deserved trophy! Now go get some sleep. Edited September 8, 2012 by Shardik
