I am lucky if I can get a few hours a week  ,being with work, being a single dad, thing around the house etc. .......I seems like everyime I sit down to start something I get "Daddy......." or phone rings.....I dunno,I musta upset the Plastic Gods at some point......

Interesting question. At the moment I'm waiting for a haircut, so here I am via I-phone. This is how fragmented my spare time has become. I'm blessed with a busy job that sends me home very tired some nights. I'm definitely starting to feel some age as I just don't have the same energy as I used to. So I find myself lurking instead of participating as I'm not really "in" the hobby at the moment. Between work, family, up-grading a few things on the Barracuda, and having our property ripped up at the moment with cement/stone work being done there's nights we don't get to dinner until after 9:00pm. Never mind hitting the bench. Except maybe with my head when I pass out....

Fall will be here soon enough. Maybe then.....

I'm retired as well so my entire day is mine. I probably spend 3 hours a day in the nice weather and 4 hours a day during the winter in my work area. The only things that get in the way are my other hobbies.

Lately I've been working more, so I'm lucky to get 3 or 4 hours of bench time per week. I try to get several builds to points where things will need to be bonded and put aside to set up, or where primered parts and assemblies need to shrink in for a while. And, with several builds going, there's always something small I can tackle during a few minute break or when I'm just too tired to put in a full evening.

Having several builds going at once often means I have to make notes to remind me what's next when I get a little time for modelling, so I'm not spinning my wheels instead of getting something done.

Another retiree here. Build time is slightly down because it's pressure washing time. Got the small shed (10 x 20), carport, lanai roof, and half the driveway done. Still have the other half of driveway, the 20 x 40 shop and its' driveway to do. Build time is usually about 4 -5 hours a day.

I consider myself semi-retired as I still do a few jobs here and there to make my fun money . I usually spend several hours at my bench every day , but only actaully work on a build for about an hour . I also have my computer at my bench and I do my drafting there too ( fun money ! ) .

Very little- lack of a suitable work area is creating that problem. Sometimes, though, if I can re-arrange the space in the house for a couple of hours, I can do something.

As I'm in the process of re-claiming (finally!) my bedroom from my parents' storage, I'm looking at installing a folding work-table on the wall and using that, so I still have some space without permanently dedicating it to to some furniture.

Since switching jobs , the steady 3 to 11 shift comes in handy , modeling wise . 3 to 4 hours a day is the minimum amount of time spent either at the bench or in the booth .

I've gotten alot done , buildwise , as of late . Due to Mother Nature's input , the airbrushing end of the deal has suffered ! . We're starting to see some respite from the humidity the last few days. Temps are supposed to be lower , so back to the booth we'll go !

I'm sorta retired (disabled),but being the house dad now, plus life's own agendas...when I'm in the groove, several hours per week, when life puts mymood to build at odds (which has been lots lately),I'm lucky if it's 5 minutes per week...

Yeah I'm one of those old retired guys too. When I'm on a roll with building, I can go at least 5 to 6 hours at a time on a project at least 4 or 5 days per week. That's how I was just recently able to finish up 3 models in 4 months. Now I'm doing research to pick my next project.

Right now I haven't been at the bench for a couple of weeks. The house is tore up, due to some remodeling and work went to overtime, fall harvest is right around the corner and all the farmers need their equipment fixed. Maybe when the leaves change color?!

Right now when the High School started, I'm very happy if I can get few hours in a week. So progress is very slow right now, especially when I have lots of things to do on weekends also. But I try my best to get as much bench time as possible.

Working 11 hour days gets old but I can get time on Saturdays. Some times 8-10 hours other times not for two weeks.

As they say"it is what it is" It all about relaxing and injoying the build.
