gtx6970
MPC Barracuda . being converted to a 1968 Hemi Cuda. Sadly,, it's been sitting like this for well over 10 years. MPC body, modified barracuda interio sitting on a modified Revell 1969 Dart chassis . Ultimately , it's supposed to be the 1st 1968 Hemi Cuda ,, the Mule car. gtx6970
neat project Bill, i also would like to do this project. where did you cut the chassis to shorten it? and 10 years aint nothin!!! glad to see it back on the work bench. Cut it right behind the trans crossmember / torsion bar crossmember area then narrow it slightly behind the rear wheels to accomodate the narrower Barracuda body. I'll pull a stock Dart chassis out and snap off a comparison picture to show the difference between the 2 maybe over the weekend Piece of cake mod that is SO much better than the old mpc chassis. And I wish it was back on the bench, this is another one of those projects I forgot I had till I was lookign for something else and stumbled onto it in a box , maybe someday soon though. Chuck Most
Here's a '72 Thunderbird pro-street.It was about 75% finished until a recent move ended with the chassis crushed beyond repair...but there was a few things I would have liked to do differently,so here's my chance. I don't care when, why, or how... but that one MUST get finished!
cwobeaman
Joker, Where did you get the '59 El Camino Body from? I'm doing a Resto on one of my father's models; a '59 Lonestar Camino. The 'A' pillar is broken and an entire mosaic looking piece missing from the roof from a crush I suppose. If like to repair, but the styrene is so acient that body work is difficult. Maybe I can ship the body to one of you masters to help me with??? Great thread Doc! V/R, CWO3 Beaman
