sjordan2 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Today, I got freedom from having a few dozen kits in storage for 5 years and brought them home. How I'm going to clear up space for them is another question.
crazyjim Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Why bother, Skip? Just send 'em on down to me. LOL.
Harry P. Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Today, I got freedom from having a few dozen kits in storage for 5 years and brought them home. How I'm going to clear up space for them is another question. Have you considered a storage unit? sorry... couldn't resist...
58 Impala Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Picked the BRE Datsun 510, nice kit but the tires are way too small. They are wide enough but too short and they'll look lost in the wheel wells. But they won't go to waste, I have an old MPC Vega kit that needs some wide 13" tires.
BLOODBANE Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I got this today..... No plans yet. Gonna go in the stash for a bit.
unclescott58 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I got this today..... No plans yet. Gonna go in the stash for a bit. Hey! Your no fooling me. I know at Hass drove a Pontiac Firebird in that show. I think you got gypped. Scott
Drago Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I got this today..... No plans yet. Gonna go in the stash for a bit. This was my very very first kit!!! Good times...
jrherald420 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Its been a eventful last month for me. Spent several tens of thousands on model building!!! These came from Hobby Lobby clearance. The Helicopter was 22.00 down from 65.00, the Mustangs and the vette were 10.99 each and the merc and sprint car were 11.99. 20140712_131107 by jrherald420, on Flickr then we bought this model room... 20140626_162034 by jrherald420, on Flickr It came with a yard and some extra rooms one could live in if they wanted too, or you could just build a different model in each room and never have to pack them up to work on something different! Here's the outside of the new model room 10382646_1449006342017833_290852533910756390_n by jrherald420, on Flickr 10418253_1449006352017832_5403539531398056245_n by jrherald420, on Flickr Here is the model room ready to go, only took me 3 weeks to get this far. 20140712_112426 by jrherald420, on Flickr 20140712_111705 by jrherald420, on Flickr Got these for the new back yard track. They are 1/18 scale. Ground breaking is in a few weeks. 20140711_223156 by jrherald420, on Flickr And the 29 x 25 ft area for the track. 20140712_112121 by jrherald420, on Flickr
Lownslow Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 went ham on shapeways again, frame was a little short but then again i didnt know how far it extended given i based mine off the craptastic promo chassie i since fixed it and im just gonna stretch this one with styrene. its notched deep and narrow mostly designed for donk style builders who want to rake the rear end. dat stance tho 22" Lowenhart LD1, 2" taller than the hard to find Aoshima wheel. the 600 made them look small Dub razz floater piece, lost the original spinner blades for the wheels and didnt want to do them again cause they would be dated so went with their latest design
jrherald420 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Congrats on the new digs. Thanks. Feels good to call somewhere MY home!
Project510 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I am actually not a mustang fan, let alone Ford after 1955 but I walked into my LHS today and everything was 25% off so I grabbed this.. mainly because I am a sucker for affordable 1/16 scale kits haha
DynoMight Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Got the AMT 1970 1/2 Camaro and a 1970 'Cuda (special edition oooooohhhh), some paint, and a new brush that was .99 instead of 2.99 (best brush ever, it's the Atlas Brush Co. 970 3/0 689076966337 ) and also some Tamiya tape. That was my monthly model trip haha..
lordairgtar Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Got a Tom Daniel Ice T kit today at a flea market for $20. Kit says made in US, but the instructions say packed in New Zealand. Any body know anything about this?
slusher Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Nice clearance run James. Great looking house and model room...Congrats
drunknmunky Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Got these today Never had a Johan kit before. Not sure if I'm gonna build them or not. The Desoto is actually sealed.
