TarheelRick Posted Thursday at 09:18 PM Posted Thursday at 09:18 PM Dropped by Michael's, stock limited to a couple versions of Olds, the Foose Pickup, and the '64 Chevelle Craftsman. Price check on the Chevelle nearly turned me into Fred Sanford, $39.99. Put it back on the shelf and stopped by Hobby Lobby. Picked up the blue '57 Chevy, I need a base for a short-track car. Also got the '53 Ford truck/w trailer. All together with 40% coupon the Chevy only cost me $1 and pennies. They had some Mr. Cement, I am almost out so I picked up a bottle of the blue cap and a bottle of the yellow cap, don't really know the difference. When I got up front I was smelling glue and my fingers were wet. the blue lid was leaking. Clerk rang me up, gave the leaking bottle to the manager, and told me to go back and get another bottle. I held it upside down and sideways all the way back to the front, no leaks. However, when I got home, I smelled glue as soon as I opened the bag, that blue lid was also leaking. It is too far to take it back for the minute amount of glue that leaked out. So, a word of caution, if you buy any Mr. Cement in the blue cap bottle be sure to keep it upright at all times. 1

The blue cap is similar to tamiya extra thin,in my understanding. Dries super fast. The yellow dries slower and is thicker, I use both,no complaints and no leakage, but I'll keep that in mind Edited Thursday at 10:04 PM by johnyrotten 1

They look great. Edited Friday at 02:10 AM by oldcarfan 1

I had a leaking problem with the yellow cap once. It sat on it's side in the bag on the way home and leaked out a little.

niteowl7710 Posted Friday at 12:34 PM Posted Friday at 12:34 PM More Alpha, because why not. This is a nicely remastered version of an old Hobby Design "Super Detail Set" full kit from 2011. About twice as many parts as the old kit, plus current Alpha quality and a vastly expanded decal offering with a slew of pre-cut carbon. 4

OldSkool81 Posted Saturday at 08:24 PM Posted Saturday at 08:24 PM Well, the wallet took another hit last week! This arrived yesterday; I wanted a Blazing Bison kit for a long time. So when I came across this opened, but sealed inside kit in the pre-owned section of one of my online shop, I jumped on it!!! I was also missing a '50 for my vintage Ford trucks collection, so I also got one of those. And to reach the amount for free shipping, I couldn't pass up that Italeri bike with the "damaged box policy" pricing! These Italeri bikes usually go around 100$CAD (73$US), but this damaged box, mint inside kit was on sale for 25$CAD (18.25$US) so I would have been a fool to pass it up!!! 6
BKF Posted Monday at 01:56 AM Posted Monday at 01:56 AM Pick up this Monogram '50 Ford for $20.00 at the local show yesterday. Thinking about converting it to 4x4. 2

Can-Con Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago My score from the model show at the Atlantic Nationals car show in Moncton N.B. this past weekend. I bought the Malibu. The AMT Camaro was included with the plaque for "best GM" I won [somehow 😉] with my white/silver OBS Chevy pickup. The other 2 are door prizes. The Academy Hyundai delivery truck is a curbside but very detailed along the lines of what you'd expect a higher lever Japanese curbside car kit would be. I've been wanting one of these Revell VW vans. [is this actually a "combi" ?] now just need a couple little 4mm Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias logo decal for the back windows. 😁 2
oldcarfan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Didn't get it but will go back, Hobby Lobby had a 1/24 Canadian Mail LLV Deliver Van. I didn't get it but now I want to see if they have a USPS marked one. It looked well detailed and at $29.99 it seems like a good deal.
