Did it come with the car washer? 😁 steve I had heard that was either Jiarus' or Gary Schmidt's mom. The original art had her in an all white suit but someone (don't remember who) thought it resembled underwear and Jairus added the polka dots 2

I wanted one of those cars so bad. 1

johnyrotten Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Found some packs of OLD x-acto #11 blades at a yard sale today. Cool old packaging, no bar codes. Still sharp with just a touch of rust. Anyone have any idea how old these are? 1
A modeler named mike Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I have been wanting this book for quite some time but it usually goes for way more than its valued. I found one reasonably priced on ebay with a make an offer option. I made a reasonable offer and was shot down. I gave it a day of thought and decided what the heck, I'll never find that cheap again. Wouldn't you know it, it was gone..🤬 Fast forward to today.. I went out to grab the mail out of the mailbox and here sat a large cardboard envelope with my name on it. I known I hadn't ordered anything. As I inspected the package it was clear to me as to what was going on. One of our fine Modelers on the forum knew I was looking for one and also knew my offer had been shot down. He decided to take upon himself to make the purchase and send it as a Birthday gift to me.. How Fricken Cool is that! He knows who he is and I Thank him whole heartedly for that kind gesture.. you rock! 5
bandit1 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Finally broke down and snagged one of these mini boxes for my bench Burple...(My mother loved Purple for some reason before she passed away a few years back 😭) Edited 11 hours ago by bandit1 2 1
meechum68 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I hit my local shop today and found 2 of 3 kits I was excited for, and bought 2 of the 3. The paint is for the Skyline. I have a plan for the Fleetmaster, and throwing around 5-6 ideas for the coupe. 3
oldcarfan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Does diecast count? I had an expiring 40% coupon from CVS so I stopped by to check out the diecasts. They had the usual old stuff, except for this one. Not a big fan of EVs but I like the look of this thing. Maybe I'll come up with something to do with it. Wonder how it would work lowered and as a panel van?

I don’t know if this will help but I have an old pair of Xacto knives in a plastic case that I’m pretty sure I got in the ‘60’s (maybe early to mid-60’s?) My first real hobby knives! (Before that was a Boy Scouts jack knife or kitchen knives!) The handles are well worn but you can still see the old style logos stamped into them. They are still in use today.I still have these blades that came with the set. All the #11 blades are long gone but the last #16 is still in use. (Mounted in a newer handle)They, too, have the logo and identification number stamped in them. Two dates to help determine the age of an item are 1963 - zip codes begin to be used. 1974 - barcodes begin to appear/be used in grocery stores. I think it took a little longer for other markets to adopt barcodes. I can remember seeing lots of products with barcodes long before for most retailers installed the readers. Rodent Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Got the kit a few days ago, and the paint today. @RSchnell will understand the choice of paint colors. I have never owned or built this kit.
rattle can man Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago that VW diecast has gasser/ street freak written all over it. Or perhaps flowers and peace signs?
#1 model citizen Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Well more like what I got in the last 6 months (+) not in chronological order- eBay purchases (‘55 Dodge-Walmart) Got in trade with a forum member From Ollie’s - to introduce granddaughter to model building. ‘66 Shelby was a club meeting door prize. Got the ’60 Mercury in trade with a club member. ‘50 Buick from Jay’s Resin Wheels. From ebay for parts. Most are warped. There are 2 complete kits - a 1910 Pierce Arrow and the Sears buggy, although it’s top is slightly warped, I think it’s salvageable. The 1903 Ford is slightly warped but it isn’t so bad a little paint and set back far enough on a shelf it will look ok. 😉 It’s the yellow one in the pic below. Highway Pioneers from ebay. Girls are mini Barbie dolls my gf found at the Dollar Tree. They are about perfect 1/32 scale once removed from their bases. They are almost perfect for 1/25 scale children, too, if you can find any that look like children. +++ In July so far +++ Another ‘64 1/2 Mustang! From eBay. This one is missing a few parts the most agreegous being a stock taillight lens. Not shown is an assortment of Evergreen “sticks” and a Tamya extra small flat brush with rounded edges and a couple of bottles of CA glue. I think I remembered it all!
