RodneyBad Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Well, Chuck.. The best ya can do is drive fast enough to keep the flat spot on top..
crazyjim Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I was able to pick up some promo models yesterday. That's 1971 Duster I believe, 1950 Nash, and I don't know the year of the Chrysler. The Duster and Nash are available for trade if anyone is interested. They've already been offered in a pending trade I have going on.
David G. Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 That's not too bad, it's only flat on the bottom Unfortunately, the bottom's always on the ground. If he can find a way to drive on the top, he'll be fine!
bigphoto Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Yesterday at my local LHS I got a Lindberg 1/32 Sprite and an Italeri Westland Wessex Helo.
Chuck Most Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Got an original AMT '62 Lincoln Continental annual, rough built up but very workable- And a built up Jo-Han '60 Plymouth wagon, again, rough but workable-
Junkman Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Got an original AMT '62 Lincoln Continental annual, rough built up but very workable- Workable? You bet, beautiful catch! Looking at it like this, I'd say it needs front skirts too. Edited August 8, 2011 by Junkman
Agent G Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) I received a whole bunch of Tamiya paints, Sprue Bros. had them on sale. They are apparently awaiting the new and improved relabled Tamiya. Chuck Most Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Workable? You bet, beautiful catch! Looking at it like this, I'd say it needs front skirts too. Funny thing is- this is the SECOND AMT '62 Connie I've nabbed this year! The first one was still in the box, and had the front and rear pans glued on. I rebuilt in in on the work bench a while ago. I'm gunning toward getting at least one AMT Lincoln from '61-'69. So far, I've only got the '61, '63, '64, '66, '67, and '68 to go!
Gray Smith Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 oh yeah!! this was waiting for me when I got home from work...the box is a mess, lots of loose parts too, but its alllll there and i'm happy.....this will be put into build rotation soon
Chuck Most Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 nice score on the Alaskan Hauler! that has to be my top big truck "have to have" kit. It's the second on that list for me (right after the Ertl Transtar Race Truck).
crazyjim Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 The brandy new Pace 24" Super Mini spray booth arrived today. I thought the bottom was a little flimsy so I cut some 1/2" plywood to make a firm, solid base. The brandy new Pace 24" Super Mini spray booth arrived today. Thanks guys...I think the box being messed up and the motor being started/painted kinda made people look past it..I don't care....paint can be stripped and only the base motor was built....I got it for a good deal I think. next up is an International c4070.. Gray
Dr. Cranky Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Nice score of kits! Nice score of kits! Nice score of kits!

Lunajammer Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Tomi, this must be the day for Ramblers. I got both of these for $30 at a flea market today. Not a run away steal but a dang good price on two kits I haven't seen locally for years. No shipping.
