Cool!

Is that a Ferrari 612 in the background?

Yup.  I 3D printed it a few weeks ago.   Just want to get through a few other projects before it gets tackled.

Oh, I didn't see that, it looks very nice!

Man, I'm going to have to get a 3D printer!

Thanks for sharing.

A rough but fairly complete 1/24 Cox Cheetah slotcar. Not a too-bad price for what's there.

The body will serve as the basis for a static build, assuming I don't have the HRM kit I think I have but can't remember for sure.

I’m not SUPER familiar with slot cars - but is the body styrene?  Or something similar to what we’re familiar with at least?

Do you know about how old this is?

Yup. Injection molded styrene, possibly ABS (which is just a tougher grade of styrene)...but I'm pretty sure it's just garden-variety styrene.

Amazes me that it’s possible to get a styrene kit of, for example, the Toyota Prius but not something as beautiful as the Cheetah…

Got in several new sheets from S.K. Decals. Most for the NuNu 911 RSR, but the CLK GTR does all three of the silver schemes (10/11/12) from 1997. This is the only aftermarket sheet I know of that tackles the CLK Sportswear "Model" scheme. The EXIV sheet will do either of the team cars and is the first time someone's done a replacement sheet for the Nippon Denso scheme that copies the kit sheet and doesn't require a tri-tone masking job - still need to mask and paint the front bumper and rear end just like the original kit.

I attended the CASM model show in Jacksonville, Arkansas yesterday real good show it was the IPMS Region 6 convention. The club broke all of there early records for attendance and models entered (421). These are my stash adds from the show.  The 3d printed stuff is a VW camper and a teardrop trailer.

Any idea if the Starion is available in the wide body version like the Conquest?

I did several searches and haven't found one. Would be nice though.

Just got back from vacation and picked up a few things on the way. Stopped at Colonial Photo and Hobby in Orlando and found it to be a nice old style hobby shop combined with a cool camera store. I highly recommend them!

So here's the haul, the Skyline, Civic and AE86 are a couple I've been looking for for a while. I also picked up a set of tires and photo-etched pickup tailgate nets.

The F-100 and the military packs I found at a HobbyTown. Speaking of those packs, they're 1/35th but they work really well for cargo on 1/24th roof racks and in the back of SUVs.

Nice kits!

I bought a Pocher 1/8 scale Ferrari engine/gearbox, as usual well under list and online asking prices.

Ferrari Testarossa Engine 1/8 Scale Model Kit by Pocher KM/51 NEW - Picture 1 of 11

Cool (unexpected) thing is that it came with the sprues having TR suspension control arms, uprights, and axles. So If I can snag some 1/8 brake calipers and rotors, I've got just about enough 1/8 stuff to get a good start on scratch-bashing this 1/25 scale mockup I did years ago, but in 1/8 scale.
