but most importantly, I got my IROC running after 5 years!!!!! :(

and If I do say so myself, it sounds ###### good running open headers, even if it is only a 305 TPI motor...!!!

Its about time!!

I got the new Revell Challenger and an amazing Ferrari F1 book courtesy of a wonderful friend. Great for reference when I build my F1 Ferrari kits. The Challenger looks VERY cool. Can't wait to get started on it. Way to go Revell, you done good !!!! :P

I picked up the kit for the micro chisel that has the round tips and an extra set screw and wrench. Mine stripped the set screw out after using it just a couple times. Glad it was the screw instead of the handle though. Picked up some paint and Alclad too. All from Hobby Town. Did not find any kits worth getting at either HT or Hobby Lobby. They are starting to let me down. Guess I'll have to stick with getting them off the net when I can.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Alright Arty, tell the man what he won.

Well ya won a rare box of nothingness

Yaaaaaaaaaaaa

He claimed it doesn't know anything about models and thought a model box full of plastic was a kit.

I don't believe he does either.

there is some custom parts that could be used somewhere.

but at least i"m getting my $$ back and able to keep the box.

now to find the model to put in it.

Live and learn.

Thank goodnes for friends.

I just got one of two HOLY GRAILS today, that I've wanted for years. I was talking to a friend who has a pretty extensive collection, and I was telling him what I was looking for, and he had them both, including a few others OOP, and was willing to sell them to me - LUCKY GUY ;) .

I also got the '34 from him, and then I stopped at my LHS and got the new AMT Camaro. I haven't opened it yet, but it looks pretty cool.

Here's the HOLY GRAIL.

This is a super rare model of a super rare car. Besides everything else, I love super-cars and exotics.

This car is both, wrapped into one.

It's a 1955 Mercedes SLR 300 Uhlenhaut Coupe'. The kit was made by Revell of Germany.

It's an absolutely stunningly beautiful kit. The detailing is exsquisite!

The real car was a cross-breed between the 300 SL Coupe' and the SLR roadster race car.

Ulenhaut worked at Mercedes and had two of these street versions built.

Because of the provenance and the rarity, these are multi-million dollar cars now.

This will be a jem to build.

I bought 4 cans of Testors spray paint. I'm trying not to buy kits until I thin out my pile, which may take a while.

Tuesday I picked up an AMT Intern'l Paystar 5000 at a very good price, too good to pass up even though I'm not a truck modeler. I just couldn't resist a good deal. Now, what to do with it? Hmm...

Did the same thing, picked up another vintage Toyota. Got myself an 86 cressida and my buddy got an 89 cressida. Paid 500$ total for both cars. My 86 just needed a fuel pump. 20$ and an hour later she came to life after 8 long years of sitting in some guy's driveway. Next up is parts swapping to make it a 5 speed instead of the slushbox it is now. Oh yeah, I also picked up a Hasagawa (spelling???) 70s S30 Fairlady Z. Now comes the task of finding some choice wheels for it. Good luck with the IROC!!!

Got 3 old kits in the mail today from eBay. AMT '67 Falcon, '67 Cougar, '66 Riviera. The Riviera is in a '66 Polara conv. box. The Falcon and Cougar have the original boxes and instructions, all restorable. All have the original trim intact, and the chrome. The Falcon needs a bit of work (someone removed the B-pillars--thinking I can cut some from a '69 Nova body maybe) and one hubcap is missing. Anyone have a source for '67 Falcon hubcaps?

The Modelhaus has '66 ones, but I don't have my '66 kit handy to compare and see if they are the same or not.

Picked up this Tom Daniels taxi for cheap at the hobby shop today.

It apparently came from a private collection, hope all the parts are there.

Got an AMT '69 Mustang annual builder. Not the current ex-MPC version, but the original AMT. It was a nice kit for a good price. It's already disassembled and soaking in the purple pond. I have an unbuilt one so now I have two. That is, until I get my next order from Missing Link for two resin ones. I have plans to build a '69 Mach 1, Boss 302 and Boss 427 in 1:25 scale with one left over for something else.
