crazyjim Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Saturday brought a replacement windshield from Lindberg - but it was cracked just like the one in the box. They're going to send another replacement. Went out to get a check for a trtade with Joe Handley and mailed parts to Nick Winter. I was out so I went to the LHS too! Got lucky because he had the new 5 window coupe. Bought that, some Evergreen essentials, and 2 bottles of Tenax. Waiting for the mailman to bring some wheels from Nick Winter, some models from Ernie (it's been real hot in Arizona), and in a few days more models from Joe Handley. In the meantime, I'm trying to finish up my car hauler.
69*Goat Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I received a 1/24th scale Modeler's Chaparral 2D. I was surprised to see white metal headlights, mirrors, and tail lights. This thing will take no time to complete.

Rob Hall Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) Scored a restorable '59 Buick convertible kit on ebay Sunday...looking forward to that. Today, I received a large Fed Ex package with a replacement power seat and track for my Jeep...the driver's seat frame and track broke a few weeks ago. Some other goodies I picked up on ebay while waiting at home today for Fed Ex incl. the AMT '08 and '09 Challenger kits (I have a couple of the Revells, didn't have the AMT ones), a Revell '34 Ford 3 window coupe, a Monogram '33 Ford 3 window coupe, the reissue Monogram '30 Ford coupe (since I've been on a vintage Ford kick lately), and a Classic Metal Works '99 Crown Vic kit---been looking for one of those for a while). FujimiLover Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I know it's not a model car, well it is, but it's an RC car and it answers the question of what I got today! My second 1/43 scale Dnano RC car arrived. I got the white Subaru WRX "WRC" model and I love it. It is RM configuration, and narrow wheel base. I hope that some day soon Kyosho will make an AWD version of the Dnano and we can put the WRX on the proper chassis! Still, the body is super nice and just as high class as any really good die-cast model of same scale. Enough of my rambling, time for some pictures. A shot of the two chassis together, one RM, and one MM. And just for fun, a picture of it next to my Eflite MCX helicopter. These Dnano's are super amazing little cars. Nothing toy about theme at all, very high-end hobby-grade RC cars and very fast! These little babies need a lot of room to gallop! Anyway, that's what I got today!
Greg Cullinan Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Lenny (mailman) brought me a can of alclad spray, 5 tamiya colors in spray and 2 cans of testors high gloss clear all from e-hobby. And the nice fella rick@scaledreams gave me 5$ back since he had enought shipping money. Know I can order sometying else!

58 Impala Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I just got my order from ProTech in the mail today. Quality stuff, worth the money. Can't wait to use some on the 41 Chevy truck I'm working on.
dwc43 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 In the last couple of days I got my resin Weld drag wheels for a specific version of the Little Red Wagon I am working on and some resin carbs. I also got a resin hood for the Thunderbolt that I robbed and cut up for another kit and a pitch fork hood for the 70 Super Bee. And an AMT blue printers engine parts pack all from e models.com. Today I picked up a Revell '55 Street Machine to see if I can do a better job of cutting off the front clip for a flip front end. First one is just not smooth enough. I got a 70 Mustang to use the interior out of for my Gone in Sixty Seconds original Mustang. I also picked up some Pigma MICRON PENS in a 3 pack of .25,.35,.45mm tips, a 6pack of Sharpie fine tip colored pens (black, blue, green, red, orange, purple) a Prisma Color metallic silver fine tip paint pen, Ranger Black Embosing Powder and Elmers glue, all from the Hobby Lobby. My order of some detail gauges from Model Car Garage was waiting on me when I got home as well. Guess I need to get to work.
crazyjim Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 The mailman dropped off a 1936 Ford 5 window coupe from Rick (Scale Dreams) and a Corvette Sting Ray III from a trade with Nick Winters (dukefan69). Thanks guys.

Guest Mustang3.8 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I picked up Revell's Special Edition '68 Charger. I plan on building it as the '68 Charger from Bullitt.
Rob Hall Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Got home to find a little box from Japan--4 new Fujimi 20' wheel and tire sets. A set of the excellent BBS LMs that Marc @ MPC Motorsports showed on here the other day, the Club Linea L612 (7-spoke wheels), SSR Professor VF1 (9 double-spokes) and Varianza Schwert SC4 (5 spokes overlaying 9 spokes). Plus from eBay 2 sets of Pegasus Michelin Pilot tires--225/45&245/45-18s. I've heard they work well on the Revell Shelbys..going to try them there. Also, automotive-related from Amazon--a couple of books-- 'Go Like Hell'--about the Ford vs Ferrari LeMans story of the '60s, and 'Winning is Not Enough'--Jackie Stewart's autobiography. Rob
