Chuck Most Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Revell AG VW 'Samba Bus'... looks like it'll be either a unexpected joy or a waking nightmare to assemble, especially since I have a few 'modifications' in mind! AMT '55 Nomad... THIS one was a real letdown. They deleted all the gasser and custom parts! Oh, well, there's the spares box! Only two models this time... what's gotten into me?
JamesW Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 (edited) Pics of my Friday score. The ONLY rust is the cab corners, I plan on grinding those out and using sheet metal to fix. And here is my dremel and accessories. Picked them up when I went to Walmart to get a new air filter. All in all, it was a good Friday the 13TH, I managed to make a 2 hour drive back with plates off my old car, MANY cops, not one bothered me. Edited November 14, 2009 by grimreaper
Crazy Ed Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 got this today in the mail... Interesting. I'd never seen one of those before. Ed
Rob Hall Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Interesting. I'd never seen one of those before. Ed Ya, the original issue '70 Bonneville conv that was reissued as an MK issue a couple years back. I have an original ht, but not one of the convertibles.
dwc43 Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) I'd like to find a 4dr convert and do the car from Last Action Hero, or was that a Catalina?? Can't remember right now without looking it up. Edited November 15, 2009 by dwc43
JamesW Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Just got back from the store with another new toy. Got me a (cheap) airbrush. I'll see just how well it works tomorrow. http://www.testors.com/product/0/4030/_/Am...ir_Activity_Set
Jared Roach Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Pics of my Friday score. The ONLY rust is the cab corners, I plan on grinding those out and using sheet metal to fix. Nice s10! Yea those cab corners are the first thing to go on these trucks. I have a '99 ext cab sls and my driver side cab corner was gone, but yet the pasenger side is still solid as the rest of the truck!?!? And your cab corners don't look that bad compared to mine, but mine rotted from the inside out so I didn't know till I was feeling around where it was bubbled and I stuck my finger through it!!! Yea I was mad!! If you want go check mine out in the 1:1 section. BTW what do you plan on doing to it?

I got my eye on some rims some guy has on CL.
RodneyBad Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Got my Renault R5 Turbo today! Pop that bad boy open and lets see how good the kit is. Is it? Cool looking Car. Great looking truck grimreaper Bad Dang, That is some Grim rust for a newer truck.. Is that salt related or just bad factory sealing? Looks like the right Dremal. I have one, Love it, and use it all the time. To make it even easier use try finding a keyless chuck for it. Great looking Grand Prix Custom Hearse I have the 72 Grand Prix but no pic up option. but some goofy parts for it. Well for me, I pick up my Snow tires for my 1:1 car YA never now if it's gonna get that few days of snow about twice a yr. Better safe than sorry. and I won (don't have it in my hands yet) 1/24 Gunze Porsche 959 Rally O Ya, a 4x4 And a Porsche..

It is most likely salt damage (michigan winters are killer on a vehicle) The truck originally came from florida too. On the bright side, the 4.3 runs like a dream, 155,000+ miles and still going strong. VERY smooth ride at 70mph, no strange noises, needs a blower motor and rear brakes (easy work)................ NO COMPLAINTS FOR AN $850.00 TRUCK.
Lownslow Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 lol have fun taking that sucker out mine was a pita i drove it dash off and had a shop fix it, i sold mine after i found out about the cab corners and the dashboard cutting out
RodneyBad Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I see that those are studded. What, uh, flavor are those? I'm running Mastercraft Glacier Grip II's on my saab for the winter. (not that the saab really needs any extra help in the snow...the Swedes really know how to make a car go in foul weather) Since most FWD cars don't have the room for snowchains, you have to spend alot for those Snow Spiders spikes for about 400 to 600 bucks!!! General Altimax Arctic (Studdable Snow) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes
JamesW Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 1994 Chrysler Cirrus Promo (why? it's a Chrysler )and cheap and 1994 Monte Carlo PaceCar (something different and cheap.LOL.) You wouldn't wanna get rid of these 2 would ya??????? Or at least the Cirrus, I've had an idea for one of those for a LONG time, but every time I see one on Ebay they're way too high.
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Went to the LHS and bought seven bottles of HOK paint.

Zoom Zoom Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Loot from the ACME NNL. HRM 250 GTO Engine (door prize from HRM/Strada Sports), Monogram RX7 Cafe Racer (I've been trying to find one for years, would like to make an accurate IMSA GTU body for it), Tamiya Morgan, and the new VW bus.

Custom Hearse Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 there are some pictures on the HAMB of one of that style hearse in Mexico. it looks very good and supposedly was still being used up until recently if i remember right. how much do you have to extend the chassis and floorpan? Dave I think I've seen those pics before. I saw them on a hearse website. I'm gonna cheat, and order the stretched frame and interior from Jimmy Flintstone.
ffreak Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I got the same engine kit also as a door prize too Bob. Of course I had to go over and get the kit from Kevin then !! I'd been wanting to get the car kit for a long time anyway, it just all worked out that way this time !! Strada Rules !!! Danny
