niteowl7710 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Decals arrived this morning, not sure who makes the Dallas Police decals, but they look 1st class quality .... Looks to me like someone is bootlegging Chimneyville's decals. They did that sheet originally back with all their others in the early/mid 90s, but that reproduction is missing part of the San Antonio decals and all of the Texas DPS markings (with the exception of that one "State Trooper"), there was also never a large "1/24" in the middle of the decals like that.
Lownslow Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Sign shop gave it to me for free worked great
martinfan5 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 These came in over the course of a few days , I really dont wanna talk about'em though
GeeBee Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Geoff, who did you buy the sheets from ? Jim Heller from the Miniature racing centre in Virginia, they have an eBay site ...
martinfan5 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Jim Heller from the Miniature racing centre in Virginia, they have an eBay site ... Ohhh, yes, I am well aware of him, pretty much all of his decals are just copys of decals made by other people.
jrherald420 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I just had to file a complaint against him because after 27 days i still had not got a decal set from him. Emailed him 3 times each time he told me they were sent to an address 3 states away that i never lived at. Ebay ruled in my favor. Also found out he would charge people for priority mail and send it 1st class. Ebay got on to him about it and now he offers free shipping.
GeeBee Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I can't moan about the delivery, I had them 5 days after paying for them, I really couldn't find many police decals on eBay that were for the older Caprice
jrherald420 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) He never would give me an answer when i told him several times that the address he sent me was not mine and refused to send me the tracking number. Guy is a fraud and i hope ebay boots him. The Ebay rep i talked to told me they had more than a handful of complaints about his shipping practices. Edited October 29, 2014 by jrherald420
vintagedragcrazy Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 i just bought 2 sheets from him and had them in less than a week. vince
jrherald420 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I was getting ready to make a 200.00 order with him. Glad I tried just one, I will gladly take my money somewhere else.
checkmate Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I bought a resin body off him on ebay and had it in around 10 days shipped to Australia, so he was good to deal with in our transaction.

I dunno what you paid for the off-hand duplicate, but a complete original sheet only runs $8.00.
vintagedragcrazy Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 i bought the ford drag team decals and they are really nice and they were only $8.00 each i thought he was a good seller. and i will buy from him again unless i get screwed but until then he's ok. vince

My show i was needing them for is in 15 days. The way he handled the problem was sad. I still have the exchange of emails. Just beware of him. Edited October 30, 2014 by jrherald420

StevenGuthmiller Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 (edited) Just picked this up from ebay the other day. I put a cheap bid on it mostly because I was still looking for a good interior tub for my '61 Starliner. Never actually thought I'd get it for $14.99. A lot of good usable parts on it, including the body. Steve Edited November 4, 2014 by StevenGuthmiller
Ramfins59 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Isn't it great when you can score a "cheapie" on EBAY Steve?
slusher Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Nice score Steve. If I don't care if I win or not is when I tend to get a good deal..
StevenGuthmiller Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Nice score Steve. If I don't care if I win or not is when I tend to get a good deal.. Yea, I've had that happen several times. Putting in a bid on a whim & not really caring if you win seems to be a pretty good winning strategy at times. It's when it's something that I really want that I get into trouble! Steve
GeeBee Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 (edited) Another Porsche ..... Edited November 1, 2014 by GeeBee
GeeBee Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Good score. Really tough to find that kit in the States...sure wish Fujimi would reissue it. There pretty hard to find over here, I've tried many times to get one but they usually go for silly money on eBay, this one I picked up for just over £30 ($47)

Foxer Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Another Porsche ..... Hasegawa Porsche 944.jpg Now, I want to see you build this one, Geoff. You'll be done before I am with the two I've been doing simultaneously ... the first and last ones I owned .. an '84 and a '91
