My latest Ebay find. And original issue AMT 1959 Lincoln convertible. The fender skirts were glued on ,,but I  took a chance on it anyway. Mail man dropped it off about an hour ago and I jumped right on it to see if they would come off. Sure enough popped right off with minimal damage to the body. Everything to build it stock is with it,,including the hood ornament is there. All I need to find is one stock hubcap,,,someone had  glued a spinner to it and I don't think it can be fixed easily. It even came in it original box .

I can now ck one more off the want list.

Looks like a nice one Bill!

The '59s are not all that easy to find any more.

Trying to find a '59 or 60 with a good windshield frame is even tougher!

On the is the 65 Coronet AMT and 60 New Yorker from JoHan.

Nice Tommy!

I like the '60 New Yorker better than the Desoto kit.

Seems to be much cleaner looking.

The one I did is still one of my very favorite builds!

Good going Tommy! Jo-Han goofed with the grille that year; it's got New Yorker horizontal grille bars but they're flush with the grille surround like a Windsor/Saratoga. Modelhaus makes a corrected grille/bumper unit, with the bars inset, if you can get an order in when they reopen (might as well grab a set of clear red taillights while you're at it). The '62 Chrysler kit will give you a correct unibody chassis.

I picked this up from the one Wal Mart in the area that sells anything model related.  I figured for $12 I couldn't really pass it up.

That is an excellent price. Sooner or later, I'll be grabbing a 1:16 Peterbilt or Kenworth.

did very well with 26s but some of the 1:1 companies wanted a smaller wheel so i went 18" Flush fit 2 piece wheel with multioffset barrels doing the same with the 20" line

Adding more to my speaker line

I got my latest order from Holthaus today. And of course I'm very please. I ordered their '66 Corvair Corsa convertible conversion kit. And their '67 Corvair Monza 4-door hardtop conversion kit. Both are typical Modelhaus. They are perfect. I have the two AMT donor kits waiting to do the rest.

This is stunning! Are those the Modelhaus wire wheels and tires?

Yes, they are.

The built up that this was built from had no stock caps when I got it so I was going to have to find a wheel option anyway.

I love these Modelhaus wires.

I've used them on several builds.

Nie...Nice...I could never handle all the small fragile parts...LOL..

thanks pal. i'm not very that into those photo-etching parts really, but if I do not buy them then I will feel like' ohhh myyyy my model is not complete'. something like this.

Can't help with my OCD problem;)

You have been busy picking up a nice stash.

Is that a Toledo Scale in the first picture?

Just got back from the DuPage show very happy - picked up some PPP 7" wide 6-lug Chevy racing wheels for my '67 Chevy pickup, a wired distributor, two full sets of American Satco wide whites (for a buck a set!B)), a set of original Dodge Deora chrome reverse wheels, a full chrome tree from a Revell '60 Chevy (I'll use the door handles, mirrors, etc. for my '59 Pontiac convertible), and best of all, a non-gluebomb, unpainted Hubley Renault Dauphine for only $13! Lower bar on the front bumper is broken and the steering wheel and rear bumper are missing, but nothing was even glued. Plus when I went over to the guys from D.R.A.G.'s booth, they had a mint Dauphine body and told me they were going to repop it and would sell me the replacement parts. So now I have yet another project... It's now in the purple pond having a bunch of decals removed.

Andy, that's a postal scale I picked up at a flea market, the glass in the front was broken, so I removed it, but otherwise it works great.

From the DuPage County Toy Show today:

Bob's paint Raspberry, Snap, Magic and Pop finishing.  Tamiya Metallic Orange.  Decals by Lucas lace prints.  The Kat Bobble Head and a 62 Nova Hardtop that is VERY good shape.

Very cool! Q: are you going to rebuild it, or leave it as is?

I want to imporove it. A lot.

What scale is the 502? And who makes it?

It's 1/18 scale by Maisto.

Now that's a tough one to find Tommy!

The '60 Buick convertibles seem to be all over the place, but the hard tops seem to be as rare as hen's teeth!

I bought a glue bomb convertible a few years ago, & then I happened upon a nice hard top body, so I combined the 2 to build my hard top.
