Brianl Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Pretty happy how this one turned out. Started out with an old stock roadster body shell & hood from a friend (thanks Bruce). Chassis has been zedded at the back, narrowed at the front to fit inside the tracknose & the front axle moved out a little. The Lincoln V12 fitted real nice. Body mods include the track nose, the whole cockpit has been moved back to balance the body masses, new hood sides fabricated & the rear of the hood relocated to give the car a longer look. All the body moldings have been smoothed & the number plate frenched. Paint was Tamiya Italian red / Racing white. Have a good one Brian
vintagercr Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Brian that is really cool! Do you have any pics of the chassis? Steve
TooOld Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Wow ! That's really sharp looking ! I like the big single pipe out the back .
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Fantastic. Wonderful. Great design. This is another concept that's so good, it should be built 1:1.
surfjunke Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Absolutely beautiful! Very fine work & a great idea. Love it!
Brianl Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Thanks for the comments gentlemen. Here is a couple of build photos that show the chassis mods etc. The spare tracknose from the Revell midget fits very well to any early Ford hood, just needs a little cut & fill etc Brian http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/brianl3/32%20track%20nose/DSCF1834.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/brianl3/32%20track%20nose/DSCF1839.jpg
Dr. Cranky Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Thanks for the eye candy, it's wonderful. What a great and beautiful model. Well done.
Grumpa Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 WOW! This is very cool Brian! Love the stance and the overall look of it! Great job!
S. Svendsen Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Nicely done. The paint scheme really sets it off.
