Scale-Master Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Yeah, it's gettin' there Pete. It has a fire extinguisher, might as well have a First Aid kit too. The First Aid box contains magnets to make it easier to open the trunk lid with another magnet from the outside.
Scale-Master Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 The dash, shifter and cowl edge pad are installed.
Codi Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Just a dazzling build. Great extra details that no one would likely consider. It's truly been fun watching this buld as you progress. Cheers, Tim
bobthehobbyguy Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Without anything to indicate the size one would tyink that this was a full size car. Amaaing work.
Scale-Master Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Thanks guys! Rear panel ready for final installation. And permanently installed…
lanesteele240 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I shall add anther wow to the wow pile. Thanks for sharhing this with us. Please start a new one when finished
stump Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Great work Mark! That dashboard and tail light assembly are works of art alone......Always inspirational, that will never change. Thank you.
Scale-Master Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Steering column, wheel and turn indicator lever are installed.
Scale-Master Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 The head lights have been installed and wired. The stems are removable with a single bolt and a plug at the root makes it easy to pull them off for track time. The muffler is installed…
Russell C Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 GSL-bound, right? Lowlife, I've only barely lopped the roof off of a car for my usual "Group" category entry monstrosity. You'll be done way ahead of me, on something destined for a much higher level category.
Harry P. Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 As amazing as this all is, for some reason the one detail that really stands out for me is the in-dash stereo. Waaaaay cool!
Scale-Master Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Thanks guys. Yes GSL is part of the plan... The rear main body is installed and bolted down. The seats, fire extinguisher and parking brake lever are also installed.
Scale-Master Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Yes I am Ray! Here’s the answer to the most asked question “What is it?” For the first time I can see what it will look like on the road… The windshield is just loosely set on it for posterity and not straight.
NormL Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 What no carbon fiber front fenders? Just stunning!
Scale-Master Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 I purposely shied away from C/F on this one. The last one was "heavy" with it. Plus I wanted to keep the garage built theme.
Scale-Master Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Air cleaner. The base and finger screws are aluminum and the element is foam. Bottom: Top: Installed:
Scale-Master Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 I took some advice from a friend and made the finger screws look more like the cheap plastic type to better fit the style of the car.
Scale-Master Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 The floor panels have been installed. A little more dirt has been added to show it is not a trailer queen…
Art Laski Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Looking good, Mark! What kind of foam did you use for the air cleaner? I need to do something similar for my midget and am looking for a suitable material.
