t_sean91 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 hey all this is my latest project and i think my best to date. its a 67 chevelle done all stock, only modifications... it has working rear springs, the trunk lid is cut out and i put a trunk and spare tire in it.
Modlbldr Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I really like that kit and it looks like you did a nice job. Is the color silver or gray? Either way it fits well with tje red interior. Later-
t_sean91 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 its krylon smoke grey. i originally painted it wimbleton white but dropped it down the stairs.. and after contemplating putting it in the microwave or throwing it into the woods i decided id try and save it.. so it soaked in a bath of brake fluid for about 3 hours and remarkably came out looking better than new dont have alot of paints to choose from here
Helix Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Looks nice Sean, you got 'macro' on your camera? The pictures will look better using that feature
diymirage Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Looks nice Sean, you got 'macro' on your camera? The pictures will look better using that feature yeah. look for a tulip icon as for the model ,i like it i really like the trunk section, looks good do you still have the trunklid aswell or did you pitch that?
TooOld Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Very nicely done Sean . It looks good in that color and the redline tires on Rallye wheels are perfect ! Congrats on a nice save after your accident , we've all been there .
Terry Sumner Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Agree with everyone else...looks good! Wish you had better photos though.....
Erik Smith Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I like the stock look! You don't see enough stock 60s muscle car models. At least I don't. Nice paint too. Great model.
t_sean91 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 yea sorry guys my camera sucks.. its just a cheap one.. and yes i still have trunk lid. thank you all for your comments!
t_sean91 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 the trunk is actually made from the bottom of a oreo tray it had a perfect circle indent for the tire to sit down in too.
Monty Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Very nice work, Sean. I'm glad you decided to redo it instead of trashing it. I think the new color is a better choice anyway (and one that I may have to chase down for myself). I've done the same "metal springs" trick while building the AMT '67 Impala, but was concerned they wouldn't be able to hold up under the weight of the car without some other kind of support, so it never got completed. Looks like yours is doing fine so far.
Terry Sumner Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Sean...try taking the photo with your camera further back. Then crop the picture with whatever you use for editing photos... Irfanview is a free easy to use photo editor if you need one...I've been using it for many years. www.irfanview.com to get it for free.
RichiePetes Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 pictures are a little fuzzy but looks good. i like the color combo1
