I hope everything goes well for you Chris and you have a speedy recovery!

Tell him we are all thinking of him and his speedy recovery.

The car in his avatar inspired me to start something similar. A good guy, too.

Thanks guys, I know he'll get a kick out of this when he gets back home. He'll probably be coming home tomorrow but by Sunday for sure. Heart problems run deep in our dad's side of the family and we haven't always eaten healthy, smoke, etc. so that doesn't help. A lot of that will change as it did for me a few years back when I got a stent. Our dad got two stents a couple years later, now Chris has his. As hard as we try to do the right things, genetics plays a big part in it and we'll definitely be fighting that in the future.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Chris is one of my favorite people and builders here.

Chris- as it looks like you'll be getting this sooner rather than later- we're all thinking of and pulling for you in our own ways. Do take care of yourself and do whatever you have to do to keep yourself going- definitely kick the habit for starters! I've lost to many of my friends and my parents have lost too many of their friends because of those terrible things and I'd rather not add you to the number.

We're all here for you and standing by your side. The modeling community is as much a family as it is a group of people with a shared interest.

Thoughts and prayers for him would be appreciated by us all.

Consider it done.

I've actually met Chris in person at Hulings Hobby House, and one of these days I guess he's going to drag me down to the Toledo show with him. :D

Good luck and listen to your doctor and family

I had six stents in one artery last October after a pretty severe heart attack, they could use six because I am not a smoker and my artery was still soft, but 95% clogged! I was out the next day!

I feel great, go swimming 3 times a week, take my meds, and also eat much better!

It is a real eye opener!

Good luck!

Thanks a lot, guys...I really appreciate the kind words and thoughts.

I'm home. Not only did I make it through a major heart attack (actually 1 major and a couple minors, soon after), but the event brought to light that I'm type 2 diabetic as well. The attacks definitely took me by surprise, but the diabetis is not so much of a shocker, having gone from being a pretty active guy to mostly sedentary for the last few years with a wrecked to heck back. The specialists I spoke with felt that was likely a major contributor.

So, yep. Feeling grateful it wasn't worse than it was, but dreading nothing aside from the quitting smoking part. The rest will be relatively easy things to adapt to. So far the patch is a big fail, so I'm giving the e-cigs another try. One way or another I'll kick that one in the nads. Not wanting to experience a massive attack like that again is pretty dang good motivation.

One thing's for sure. Nurses sure have gotten a lot younger and prettier since my last stay in the hotspittle. If I hadn't looked like death warmed over I'd have likely needed treatment for a few extra injuries. :D

Awesome ! Thank God you survived the ordeal, and welcome to the Type II world.

Good luck on quitting smoking. Many of us know how hard that can be.

He's not kidding about the nurses either. ;)

I actually work in IT for that health care system so he got a little extra special treatment 'cause he's my lil 'bro.

I quit smoking cigarettes back in 1986 and it's a real bear to deal with. I enjoy fine cigars these days but will never, ever touch a cigarette again.

Thanks guys. Yeah, even away from it for not even a couple days, the smell is a bit repulsive to me. Yet even so, I wanted one the moment I walked in the door.

I've had a couple tonight, Bill Clinton style. Seems to be doing a good job of satisfying the craving while turning me off from it at the same time. Just the thought of inhaling made me half wanna yak.
