Rob Hall Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Feb/March issue, looks good at first read thru..it's the annual contest issue.
cobraman Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I got mine yesterday as well. I was happy to see it arrived in perfect condition. No rips !
Chuck Most Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 That reminds me... I need to send in a subscription!
slusher Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 l have been thinking about getting a subscription. l have been board with scale auto...
kelson Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Wow! i just had issue #174 arrive at my door today.
Harry P. Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Wow! i just had issue #174 arrive at my door today. That's weird. Kamloops isn't all that far from Denver.
Rob Hall Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 That's weird. Kamloops isn't all that far from Denver. Canada..probably a delay in border crossing for magazines.
Harry P. Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Canada..probably a delay in border crossing for magazines. Yes, probably so.
peter31a Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Or it was shipped to a distribution center in Toronto then shipped out west again. That would be typical post office.
Tony T Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 My LHS holds them for me, so will have to check with them next week.
Ramfins59 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Got mine in today's mail. Only one small tear on the cover and first couple of pages. Lots of west coast area shows.
jbwelda Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 got my copy today, undamaged, and was surprised how few west coast events were covered! specifically no coverage of NNL West 12 or 13 (kinda soon for the just passed NNL West 2013 and i think the photographers camera broke for the NNL 2012 coverage, thats what i heard anyhow). i am impressed by the midwest and east coast builds and contests, seems to me thats where my "wow" favorites often come from.
RodneyBad Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 New Rule of Thumb.. (figure that one out) You can not say you got the new issue till 3 weeks after you get it. I'm still waiting for my LHS to get thier New issue soo I can get my new issue.. I'm really trying to support my LHS. Really trying..
michaelbaskett Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I just got #174 yesterday....Typical Canadian Delivery i guess....
Austin T Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Still haven't got mine. Maybe I missed a subscription letter in the mail? Kinda wish that you guys would cover some southern shows, like the Southern NNL in Atlanta or the Cookeville TN show. What all does a show have to do to be covered in a mag?
Craig Irwin Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Kinda wish that you guys would cover some southern shows, like the Southern NNL in Atlanta or the Cookeville TN show. What all does a show have to do to be covered in a mag? My guess is a volunteer to take photos and write it up for submission.
Harry P. Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 My guess is a volunteer to take photos and write it up for submission. Exactly. We can't include a contest if we don't get any coverage sent in.
martinfan5 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Exactly. We can't include a contest if we don't get any coverage sent in. Just like for our Desert Scale Classic contest, we now have someone that is going to take the photos, someone else is going to do the write up.
Jeff Johnston Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 l have been thinking about getting a subscription. l have been board with scale auto... I like both magazines but you should subscribe. Lots more content in Model Cars and IMHO just a better magazine. I'm not just saying that because we are "here"... I read both magazines cover to cover at least twice every time. But MCM really is worth subscribing to.
Clemi Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I want a subscription, but first I need a credit card... Sad that I can't pay via PayPal. I just don't understand why the price for the subscription is twice as high for foreign countries than for US and CA...

Clemi Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Shipping costs. Sure, but I got some other magazines from U.S. and there foreign countries just pay some dollars more and not the twice... Edited April 9, 2013 by Clemi
