All the above ('cept the dehydrator) but I HAVE to have a window. I just can't bear to be in a little cave. Nice to have the computer for research (and time-wasting). A drawing board across the room is good, plus pads and writing materials for notes. And a small space-heater under the bench for the winter. Gram scales for mixing epoxy and fillers. Dry compressed air. Cork-board for notes and ideas. Camera. Thermos of coffee.

As above plus adequate work space.....I like lotsa room, my trusty toaster oven and vacume cleaner for vac-forming, plenty of storage space for kits and such. I use two old type face drawer cabinets with drawers for small part and decal storage, and soon will have a spray booth ducted to the out side. I also have a big metal library type cabinet for reference magazines, and multiple work benches. When my wife and I bought the home ten years ago, I got a HUGE unfinished basement as part of the deal.

All the usual stuff plus a roll of paper towels and a stack of Post-it notes. Not for posting notes of course but to use as disposable paint pallets, glue pallets and even for masking off small areas for a quick shot with the airbrush.

The bench itself has to be of a height so it can be worked at whilst standing so when my back craps out again I can still build.

My shop is in a windowless basement room, so I have good lighting and a heater. I have an old radio and a small b&w TV. For tools I have X-acto knives, sandpaper and blocks, jeweler's files, drill press, pin vice, needlenose pliers, side cutters, and my faithful Dremel tool with abrasive cutoff wheels (it's my "cutting torch"), and sanding drums.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, don't forget the Clear Safety Glasses when your using the Dremel ;) !

Radio is a must have, like to listen to the Footy (AFL) on the weekends whilst building ;)

I use an IPAD on my workbench in case I need a quick reference, the PC takes up too much room :D !

Yes, a radio is important.

Particularly tomorrow so I can listen to the Bulldogs walk all over the Crows... :P

Of course all proper tools, paints and Evergreens etc. Then enough light, I have two big windows on my bench, and then two lights if (or actually when) I'm building at night. Good chair and of course a lot of great Rock 'n Roll records and LP-Record player where you can play them!
