Bob Ellis
Swen, I forgot to say that your Chevelle looks great.
Danno
Front marker lights are wrongly shaped and too far back on the fenders. Otherwise, nice!
jaydar
Do we know which engine will be in this kit? thanks, joe.
mnwildpunk
It says it has a fuel injection intake manifold that is it.
Casey
Do we know which engine will be in this kit? Big Block Chevy, with the option to build it stock or add custom parts.
george 53
I don't built or care for converts, so i won't be buyin one. Too bad, caz I WOULD have sprung for a 68 coupe. I HAVE already done one useing the Modelhaus conversion kit. It fits like a glove!!!!
Guest
Surely Round2 will tool up a decent set of tail lights for this kit. Only seems logical......
69NovaYenko
I just went to the Missing Link website and i could not find any products. What did I do wrong? Joe. Joe try this link: http://www.missinglinkrc.com/kits_2012.htm Edited August 30, 2013 by 69NovaYenko

randx0
Sooooooo! It is the end of November has anyone seen this kit in a LHS? joe. No, but we can probably continue reviewing a kit that isn't out yet . let's see if it can drag it out to 8 pages so when the kit does come out you have to spend two hours trying to find pics and actual info on the kit as released . good info here just not anything about the kit in question. Well considering it's a Round 2 kit, there's nothing NEW about (other than the probably inclusion of the new Goodyear tires), otherwise it's just a reissue of the old '69 Chevelle Convertible kit from decades ago. Anyone who has one, or has had one knows what's in the kit and can speak with reasonable authority as to it's contents, and problems (like the need for aftermarket parts to replace/fix kit parts). It's not a new tool, like it's a surprise or something.
JS23U
And hopefully they support the window frame with some removable plastic runner. I have two of the old kits, one with a broken frame, one with a bent frame. I once compared the Chevelle Hardtop with the convertible and the El Camino annual (not the newer tool 68). It seems to me they all came out of the same mold. There are some funny parting lines on the El Caminos interior where they omitted the rear passenger compartment. I have two of the old kits, one with a broken frame, one with a bent frame. I'm interested to see what changes and and/or additions Round2 has made to this kit. I don't expect the tail lights to be corrected, bit hopefully they did a little more than including in the Polyglas GT tires and creating new box art this time around. I wouldn't expect more than that, there's nothing else being touted on the Round 2 site about it other than "FIRST TIME AVAILABLE IN DECADES", all of the other old reissues with new parts have been excitedly marketed with their back-dated parts (Ranchero) or restoration of long missing parts (Lorenzen Galaxie, Gremlin, etc). drodg
Has anyone purchased this kit? The new release this month?
Chuck Kourouklis
Yup. Boxcover looks like the big draw, and the new Polyglas tires are included along with the old compact Firestone skinnies as used in the stock '66 Nova. No new webbing to reinforce the windshield frame, but all looked to be in good order on a very cursory glance.
Rob Hall
I'm probably going to get 2-3..got ideas for that many. I have the Countdown Series issue but it's a glue bomb, and I have an old resin body but it's broken.
Ron Hamilton
So Missing Link has corrected taillamps? Cool. That makes this an easy "yes" purchase. Charlie Larkin I just bought a couple of them on EBay
Toner283
Can anyone post pictures (close up) of the corrected tail lights? This kit has not made it north of the border yet. Probably won't until late january or early february.
jaydar
Mine is supposed to be at the lhs today. If so I will let you know if the tail lights were corrected. Joe.
drodg
Is the body corrected? I know the original cars had the 68 side moldings that the 69 didn't have.
jaydar
I did get mine today. I compared the chrome to the hardtop version and it is identical. If they fixed anything it is not readily apparent. I did not check the bodies yet side to side but will soon. Joe.
