lower99 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Love it! I´ve got a 1/20 scale boat layin´ around here, i have to build it!
ChrisBcritter Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Thanks for getting into this kit - I've always wondered if it was based on an actual boat; looks like it will need some big changes to represent the real thing (and I'll probably do the wood with paint on the deck and paint the hull white anyway). About the engine: Is that a Chrysler flathead 6, and if so could the 1941 Plymouth engine be used for more detail?
JasonFL Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 That already looks like a cool kit but you just take em' to another level. Love how your doing all that wood work. Any chance we can get a photo of all the boats? Or if there are other build pages just point me in the right direction. Awesome build, can't wait to see it on the trailer behind the car.

Even with orginalengine it's VERY tight in the motorcompartment. Torgny
nts Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 This is the first boat , in mahoganyveneer and two Cadillac engines. The trailer with real wood inlays and the car built from a resinbody. I cut out the sides and replace it with mahoganywood. Some pictures of how it's made ............ Torgny/ Sweden
cobraman Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Man, I love that boat and car combo. Beautiful work !
JasonFL Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Wow! Just wow. I mean you do some gorgeous work but that first build is out of this world. What a killer combo, thanks for posting them up. Can't wait to see more.
Bastardo Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Wood hauling wood on wood - now how lovely is that?! Great work, Torgny!
nts Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Work continues................. Work Work Work / Torgny
jeffbrad Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Those inline sixes used in the Chris Crafts were made by Hercules in Ohio
peekay Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Wonderful! I've never seen nicer boats in this scale (and I love the Olds too)!

The hull in the Hemi Hydro kit scales out to about 1/20th scale along with the trailer.
