curt raitz Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 After building the '50 Ford Low-ridin Pick'em Up Truck, I got a hankering to build another. Started with bits and parts from the AMT 1925 Ford kit and the Revell 354 Cadillac Parts Pack engine. Inspiration was drawn from the "Hot Rod Lincoln Roadster" in the August Street Rodder Magazine. thanx for lookin'... more photos and building progress can be seen at: http://public.fotki.com/crtr8z/25-fordillac-roadst/
charlie8575 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Cool! There's something about the simplicity of this...very complex in its own right, yet so simple and elegant. Charlie Larkin

Tom Geiger Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I think Charlie said it well. This is just an honest street rod that has the right look. I like it! Can you tell us about the radiator shell? That's very cool and makes the build. It gives the rod a face.

Scratchbuilt... glued a couple of rear fenders from a chevy pickup, drilled and filed the openings: cut off the stuff not needed, and one "tractor" grill created:
Tom Geiger Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Scratchbuilt... glued a couple of rear fenders from a chevy pickup, drilled and filed the openings: Thanks. Now I remember that thread. I actually glued together two rear fenders from the '55 Chevy step side, but hadn't gotten any further.
