Dirt Demon Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 here is a build that I completed awhile ago.....lots of time into this one! The Body is from Flashpoint Motorsports....the chassis is a full scratch build. The engine is a Ross Gibson Sonny's blown engine. Micro Nitro wheels...Detail Master fittings and lines, to many other aftermarket parts to mention. The paint is House of Kolor Blue blood red, one coat of multi color prism clear....then several coats of Omni clear. This was my first ever attempt at building a Pro Mod.
Steve Prideaux Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 WOW, very nice build. The detail work is fantastic. Nice job !!! Steve Prideaux
crowe-t Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 William, This is AWESOME!!! Can you post a picture with the nose on? Mike.
W-409 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Very nice build with lots of detail! Fantastic job on scratchbuilding the frame, all tubes are perfectly on place and really nice detail on the engine and interior. Sweet paint job, too. Congrats.
Mister Twister Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 For your first P/M attempt it looks like you nailed it. Super nice details and the paint looks a mile deep.
PappyD340 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 First attempt? Are you Serious? WOW I wish my first attempt at anything looked that good, you certainly nailed that one to the barn door!! Excellent job William!!
Terry Sumner Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 That's one HECK of a first attempt! Wow.....
DrKerry Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 First ever??? I quit building!!!! LOL That is awesome!!!!
Dirt Demon Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Guys.....I'm not new at model building.... It's just that this was my first attempt at building one of these cars.....it's been something I've wanted to build for quite awhile And finally got up the nerve to give it a shot. Many hours of research went into building it because I wasn't very familiar with where certain parts and pieces go. So thank you all for the kind words.....
Burnout Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 That looks really, really good. Congrats!
am73grand Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 That thing looks so mean!!!! I love everything about it. Fantastic work on the cage and all the details!!!
MitchP Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Wow, really nice! I hope to have this same result when I upgrade my '55 Chevy NOS Sportsman to a Pro-mod blown motor setup. Vinnie used NOS engines I believe, and was one of the Jersey/NY City Boyz from E-town.
Dirt Demon Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 Yeah his motors are carbed..... I wanted to be a bit different and stuff a blown engine in it. They just look more mean in my opinion.
futurattraction Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 That is a one super build, William. Great detail and flawless execution.
