They just got whacked by Mark Gustavson himself!

Then one of them complained that it should have been done in a PM!

Um no, make up garbage on the board,  it gets corrected on the board!

must have been some admin intervention, don't see it ( am really curious what Mark had to say).

All I've seen was the gauntlet Mark threw down (as posted by another member).

That was it Mike, where Steve R advised Mark what was going on and Mark posted through Steve.

Its so typical for people to complain but not be willing to help. When one does someting like create the model car museum its a difficult task to find people willing to volunteer to help make it happen. However there is no shortage of people to complain that you aren't doing things right.

It's kinda sad really, if only people knew that this museum was run by modelers, for modelers in an effort to celebrate and admire builders from the past that did remarkable things without the aftermarket we have now.

The innovators of the past have pushed the hobby to where it's at today.

I really enjoyed seeing (in person) award winning models that I have only seen in magazines from many years in the past, and hearing stories told by people that were featured in those old magazines.

I think you have the facts a little bit twisted there Tommy - Mark got whacked & he sent one of his lackeys to post his long winded rant. There was never an accusation made that wasn't factual. Builds & items were, indeed sent to the museum, that were never acknowledged. I was merely trying to give the heads up to Harry's daughter, so that she may be aware that this could happen as well to her fathers collection. Obviously I hit a raw nerve, for Mark to feel a response was needed. Harry never held back his thoughts & wasn't afraid to ruffle feathers - I'm not either. Perhaps, if you ever decide to take the time to build & donate a 4 month project somewhere & then, not receive acknowledgement; you'll feel the same . ......... that's if you can spare any time from your cheer leading & gossiping hobby.

Every thing!  Just woke up grumpy this morning!  At my age, it is about a 60/40 chance on any given morning and I never know myself until after the first cup of Joe!;)

I had a job interview last Thursday. Not the greatest job or money, but it seemed like I would be comfortable there. Got along great (I thought) with the boss, etc.

Looking on CL I see that the ad has been reposted. Thinking I guess I didn't get it, although he had said they would be interviewing until tomorrow. Maybe I am wrong, but I doubt it.

Just tired and depressed with all this stuff.

That's for the thoughts guys , I'm just working through daily life without putting any pressure on the thumb . It's amazing the things we do without thinking about how much the loss of an appendage will affect them . Opening jars , holding my 1 yr old grandson (who accidentally kicked my hand this morning) , any kind of yard work , it's all a new adventure in pain management .

I don't recall seeing Harry make personal attacks like you appear to have done here.

Now that you've mentioned it, I remember that I hated it when I caused self inflicted injury to myself. I was really "ticked off" about it, especially when it took a long time to heal.

Do you have photos of what was sent?

Someone could query Mark if a reference photo was included...

Without more details it is difficult to get the complete picture.

Was Mark informed that the models and items would be sent to the museum?

Was this a solicited or unsolicited donation?

When models/items were sent (through USPS, UPS, or FedEx I assume) was there any proof that they were delivered to the museum/Mark?

Whats with the latest Announcement from Dave?

I understand the intention of this, however I disagree with the reporting of PM's. The rule has always been if you have a problem with someone take it to a PM. Keep the drama off the forum and keep it private. Does reporting a private conversation mean that administration can now moderate for infractions committed in those PM's? If so then the private conversation is very private.

Having an adult disagreement via PM is one thing. Receiving curse filled threats and hateful messages needs to be reported. Those folks need to be terminated.

It seems that these model car guys are an angry bunch ,   I am far from being a regular here or a Model Car insider like some here are but some thing I find very interesting=In one topic I read where Gregg (the guy that owns this site) is looking for ways to sell more magazines and keep this site going yet in a few other topics I see where there are members attacking each other and telling people to leave-don't come back-you wont be missed ect.......which doesn't sound like they are being ambassadors to the magazine, the on line forum or the hobby it's self .

Dawson. Overall we have a great bunch here. As with any site we have a few who thrive on being trouble makers who thrive on being disruptive and creating drama. The best solution is fo ignore them. They are the minority. If they don't get the attention they desire they sill go away. Don't let those few spoil your enjoyment of this great site and its great members.

My falling apart '99 Dodge Dakota. I put new hub bearings & all four tie rod ends in it in Feb. & was then told all four ball joints & the tranny mount needed replaced. Got that done. Then came a new exhaust. Leaving work yesterday the trans. stuck in first gear so I drive 10 miles home at 15 mph. As I pull In my driveway a brake line pops. Over a thousand in it so far & it's beached again. I think it's time to say goodbye & start looking for something else.
